I love how Pooh, despite being the most wholesome and pure creature in this universe, causes Doobus constant anxiety at the thought of Pooh's innocence being even slightly tarnished
I blame South Park.

it's still incredibly refreshing to see a parody of a character that doesn't make them a terrible person
it's like terminalmontage's depiction of sonic and tails as being actually friends
Honestly, it’s not even a parody of Pooh, it’s more like a sincere rendering of him to parody all the people parodying him.
@@rabbitlandlord terminalmontage's sonic is probably the best interpretation of the character on the internet in general

Like spending an entire book learning that Tigger just likes hot cereal and that's where his bond with Roo came from.
Doobus's version of Pooh is just as wholesome and innocent as the Disney version, and I love it. We must protect this little guy.

“I’m not angry, just terribly, terribly hurt.”
“I’m not mad just quite uncomfortable”
"I'm not mad im sorry i made you think i was ._."
Exactly. He's such an innocent bean he's not even mad at people who want to tarnish his image for fun, he loves everyone, including them, and wants them all to be happy. So he just asks nicely if they can make a disclaimer because he can't tell them they can't do it, because he thinks that would make them sad.
Meanwhile, the guy making the parody here is HOPING to make him mad for funsies and then ends up feeling like he kicked a puppy that just whimpers and cuddles with you because it doesn't understand why you want to hurt it.

I like that Winnie the Pooh isn’t concerned about him being a horror villain (if anything, he’s indifferent to it) and is more concerned about the well-being of those that watch the movie.
No he's concerned and clearly saddened by it but he doesn't wanna say anything like "please don't do that" because he's so nice
Doobuses rage makes me happy. Not in the way that i like it when hes pissed but that its so rare to see someone standing up for innocence being allowed to exist and its just really wholesome for him to be angry at the people trying to ruin everyones childhood.
that's a pretty reductive way of looking at it. They're simply trying to provide a service to a public that wants to feel something. anything. the audience has said "We will give you money if you can actually find something that makes us jaded folk shocked and horrified, so then when we go back to the horror of real life, it won't feel so bad." and they tried. They f𝖚cking FAILED,, but the idea that it's somehow wrong to do something just because it's inherently unlikeable is missing so many points. And even that point would be better applied to a whole lot of other things. don't put "innocence" up on a pedestal. Try to remember being a kid, spouting gruesome schoolyard rhymes about beloved/despised children's characters. Just because it gave you a mild thrill / vented your anger at the continued and _baffling_ existence of Barney.
That's a good way to put it

Man, Winnie the Pooh is such an insanely innocent character. There are very little characters like him that aren’t monetized to hell or aren’t actually innocent. Winnie the Pooh is just that popular character that you think of every once in a while. Really sad to see him put into a shitty horror movie.
Doobus is the only TH-cam animator to actually do Pooh justice.
As the social perfect fighter(no relation to be heroic as the false social justice fools, just self claim and ashamed my past mistakes as the anti villain, not for cool, but to be remorse at my own reckless mistakes and stupidity), I tried to be brave to fight for other things to seek peace, same to Megatron seeks right to change Cybertron better, but through time, I see more mistakes, consequences and regrets, so I quit a half and be polite to reason things out at some limits. (The anti villain social perfect seeking topics are: leave Bionicle alone without toxic parody and demonitise stuffs talk, stop crossing Getter Robo and some dark anime culture, dislike Kamen Rider mash with imperfect ideas, disgust some negative and bad influences from South Park moments, those are the half and half reason which I almost get into trouble by poor control at my own frustration and feelings at extreme things, I regret my own action and I would use intelligence to convince or leave them out of trouble instead )

@@tristanband4003 you are correct, since he doesn’t wanna stop the dude from making his movie, cuz he knows it’s a passion project in his mind ever since he was a baby
You know,if they wanted to make a horror movie about Winnie the Pooh, they should just talk about how rough the real Christopher Robin's childhood was. Christopher Robin has said that he felt neglected by his father becuase he spent more time writing about the Christopher Robin that he imagined instead of actually spending time with his son. On top of that, he get bulled quite a bit from it. Thankfully, his life got quite a bit better later on in life.
I'm glad things got easier as he got older.
They actually did a movie about that called Goodbye Christopher Robin and it's super good!
So good to see that the current owner of the entire world can still enjoy small things like going trick or treat-ing with his friends
I like how Pooh wasn't upset at the idea of a horror version of him, he just wanted people to know he was a friend and that version was not him. he only cares that people know they are safe with him, and that he doesn't scare others. Oh Bother, this is sweeter the honey.
"It's like Winnie the pooh but he do the murder" gets me everytime😭
I like how we've all become so attached to and protective of this Pooh
I’ve always been protective of that silly old bear 🥰
Since Pooh is public domain now, this is the cannon Pooh as far as I'm concerned.
Pooh is so wholesome, he doesn't want to hurt anybody in any way. His halloween costume is a jar of honey because he's so sweet and kind. He's just a smol bear with a big heart.
What if he's dressed up as an EMPTY jar of honey, because that's the scariest thing his pure lil mind can think of?
Pooh's so OP that he's making the edgelords become upstanding citizens of society.
I was expecting him to request Piglet be in the movie but I love how Goobus’s depiction of Pooh is determined to make sure everyone is happy and gets what they want.
but what if someone wants piglet
I mean Piglet is already in Blood and Honey anyways soooo he didn't even need to

I love how, with every sentence Pooh speaks, we all just get more and more teary-eyed because goddammit he's so sweet and friendly and just doesn't have any hate in his heart.
This is the wholesome balm I require after knowing that a Winnie the Pooh horror movie exists. I thank you.
I was actually upset when I heard about Blood and Honey. I love Pooh. He's a sweet wholesome character and the disney movies are my go to movies when I go into depression slumps. It is pure nostalgia but it reminds me that it's not bad. At least it won't be
Ironic how playing the character as the most wholesome and pure thing ever just makes it 10 times funnier than going all edgy and dark
Because people love sweet cinnamon rolls and the joke lies not in pooh himself but everyones reaction to his wholesomeness
At this point it's more subversive for a parody version of a character to be innocent rather than corrupt.
If only everyone had as much of an understanding of Pooh's character as Goobus does, Blood and Honey wouldn't have happened. The craziest part is that they set up a sequel, AND they might do a Bambi horror movie soon.
How could they?
Sequel? Bambi? Why?
Gobus has the common sense we all need.
The horror genre is almost entirely an arms race to be as upsetting as possible. It's not exactly a breeding ground for good ideas or writing. Exceptions like The Lighthouse are rare AFAIK, but I've been told that indie horror movies are probably the way to go. I haven't looked into that so I can't say.
I think it's the creepy pasta theories all over again. Where a innocent cartoon is actually about something dark and depressing. Like the one about how the main cast in mlp g4 are based on girls who all died on the same day? Or on topic that Pooh and his friends are all allegories on mental illnesses. And the grandmother of all them Alice in Wonderland is actually about drugs.
It all boils down to people getting insecure they still like things that are for "kids" so if they make it "adult" by making it depressing so they can enjoy it.
Pooh Bear is the most innocent, kindest thing to exist. He doesn't even do a comedical change in character in this episode. He's so beautiful ❤❤
The moment I heard about this movie being made, I was genuinely livid. I still am, though this animation has made me realize we should all just laugh at how ridiculous and impossible the idea of a perfectly wholesome character being turned evil really is.

Doobus understands Pooh well... as opposed to bloody Blood and Honey, who could've used anything else for their main killer's mask, and no one would've complained at all. Lots of Public Domain stories work as darker and scarier versions of themselves. Pinocchio does, Alice in Wonderland does, Wizard of Oz does, hell the vast majority of fairy tales are halfway there already.
Winnie The Pooh does NOT, and I have no idea why so many so-called creatives are having trouble understanding that.
Not everything needs to be edgy and scary. Let happy things stay happy things. The others work because there’s at least some scary elements in the original story
It really helps that a lot of those fairy tales like Pinocchio are already pretty dark, so making an even darker adaptation of those stories isn't too far-fetched.
