Listening this over and over and just cant believe what a impeccable and stunning performance she gives.
If you shut your eyes, you can literally see and feel the rain and the mud of those medieval villages. And see uhtreds sword being forged. This is vocals on a complete different level. Absolutely mindblowing stuff which I need to see live. The last kingdom will always be amazing. But like John Lunn says. It wouldn't be half the show without the vocals and music.

Eivørs voice is so enchanting, quite otherworldly and truly spellbinding, it takes you out of yourself and places you in another realm as if you're hearing a calling from your own true spirit home, aah! the imagination, what a wond'rous and childlike weapon of myth and fairytale.
Oh Eivor... I can't even explain the places you've taken me to...where I felt safe from THE now. Thank you. This music helps me escape my anxiety, and feel. Feel the place I want to be at.

I cant belive how beautiful this Ladys voice is, ive watched Last Kingdom 3 times & cry everytime at the same scenes, the tears aint just coming from my eyes its Touching my Soul & tears are pouring out of my heart, im mostly Celtic/Irish but have 8 diffrent blood lines in me, my children whom are part Nordic due there Fathers blood line, My Eldest Son who is 30 is obsessed with Vikings..this is the only music he listens to. I haven't seen many concerts in my life, but "The Last Kingdom" OST with the composer and lead singer would be at the top of my list to see.
If I was in the audience i could not contain my ancestors, they would leap out to sing with her from the depths of time and from the first relationship with creator spirits

At the same time, I feel like I travel back centuries to a time and place where my ancestry reminds me that I am stronger than I feel in the moment. I’m of Scandinavian heritage, and this primal music is probably similar to what my Viking ancestors listened to in ancient times. And I loved Last Kingdom.
Same my grandparents were.
Now my dad is stuck which is quite common where he can't bend his hands. Called Dupuytren. Which is quite common in men that have viking heritage

Your voice is now the death of my father. I love you Eivor, it is not your fault. It's nobody's fault but cancer, but there's so much pain in hearing your voice. And with that, I would like to, uhm, thank you. Thank you for giving me a way to face this grief. It matters a lot. My last Christmas present to my father, was four of your albums. He never had the chance to hear them, unfortunately. The cancer took him within weeks, but you may yet take me to what comes next. I wish I may ever hear your voice again without tears, and with only goosebumps. Just like the old times.
I'm sorry for your loss. May you find peace in the beauty that this world has and comfort in the kindness most still carry in their hearts. All of the best to you, from one stranger to another.

I’m of Swedish heritage and her voice is very spiritual to me brings emotions to a past If I lived way back of history of my ancestors can’t describe it but she makes you feel thru her wonderful voice. Great music and musicians everything is good.im wondering how she practiced singing if anyone heard this in a bedroom or bathroom they might say what is that voice.mmaybe she practiced on a mountain top to echo down thru the valley but one has to start somewhere to find the voice and glad she did😊

Eivørs music 🎶 is hauntingly soothing. It spawns imagination back to a different time of Viking vs Saxon.
Even after living in England I now have an even deeper curiosity to trace my heritage back in East Anglia because of the music and the series.

I've never watched that TV show (I'm outside more than I am inside) but when I first heard this song at Red Rocks this year, my mind just went to our Rocky Mountains. From the snow top cliffs to the rain seasons with Ravens flying over head, to the rolling fog walls over the lakes, and to all the Elk I see crossing the roads and meadows.
