TWO WAYS of Saying '2' in Cantonese

Are idioms okay as examples?
一舉兩得 (jat1 geoi2 loeng5 dak1)
I really like it because it has no killing 😌
(even in Russian we only have 'to kill two hares with one shot', not okay with me 😂)
獨一無二 （duk6 jat1 mou4 ji6)
Don't know if Cantonese speakers use these idioms much, I learned them from dictionaries 😅

We do use those idioms in conversations, depending on the contexts. With idioms, I think it could work most of the time, but not always. Your examples are good. 兩 refers to the quantity in 一舉兩得; and 獨一無二 refers to "you can't find the same one". But interestingly, we won't say 兩鳥, but 二鳥 in the idiom (didn't mean to use an example that you don't prefer but only use it as an example as we are on this topic).

Good question! Yes, the literal translation of "兩句" is "two sentences" .And the example given in the video refers to "a few words".
