Just got the surgery done yesterday. the only pain was getting the ring on the eye. And it wasn’t even really pain just pressure. The cutting and the laser you don’t feel at all. Just go home and nap for four hours after and you’ll have zero pain. It’s been 24 hours and I’m already seeing at almost 20/20. Greatest decision of my life

I’m getting lasik soon. It cost about $3888 SGD with an additional cost of cross linking $1117 SGD. The procedure my doctor recommended is completely by laser. No blade or sharp objects will be used.

I did the Lasik three days ago (it's in 2019). The surgery took as seemed to me about 2 minutes, although the waiting and the preparetions seemed to take forever. The same day after the surgery I was gazing through all my windows like a baby, the image is so clear now, and I felt really stupid that I didn't do this like 10 years ago just because I was afraid :(

It still scares me and I can barely keep my eyes open at all and even fail at putting on eye drops as a fear that the bottle no matter how hard I hold it will fall on my eye. But I gotta practice until I can just grab my eye lids.

I wore glasses most of my life and I just had my surgery yesterday. My eyes were numbed so I couldn’t feel anything besides the pressure from the ring... Honestly, it was more painful to watch it than feel any physical pain, but you’ll come around that. The first few hours after the surgery were painful, I couldn’t open my eyes, but after I took a nap and follow up with the aftercare, I now can see perfectly. And NO MORE GLASSES!!!

@The king of Earth I’m happy to share my experience with you. They use a piece of equipment to keep you from blinking. So you’re eye would be wide open and you can’t blink even when you want to. I was able to move my eyeball around but they ask you to look straight into a light while they shave your eyeball. Then they proceed with the laser. The procedure was easy and fast. Just breathe and relax and it’ll be over before you know it. Oh and it didn’t hurt all that much at all.
I did mine with LASIK plus located in Utah. And now I have a vision even better than 20/20 according to the doctors. It was worth it for me and I hope you come to a decision that makes you happy. After all your vision determines most of you life quality.

Guys, let me tell you, the video is as accurate as it is misleading because it makes the entire procedure look painful but it's faaar from it. You don't feel any pain AT ALL. You might feel uncomfortable because of that thing the doctor puts in your eyelids in order to not blink, but there's no pain. I repeat, there's no pain. Zero. Nada. I do still occasionally get "artifacts" from having worn glasses and contacts for decades and suddenly not needing them, like I'll freak out for a second because I'll reach over and can't find my glasses... old habits die hard. Lasik changed my life.
For the surgery itself, it was "look at the blinking lights (15-20 seconds elapses). Ok now don't freak out because you're going to go blind for about 15 seconds." Then I had perfect vision.

@@cmedyugrrerukn7817 Thank you very much. 😊 I wish you can get the laser eye surgery soon!
At first my eye doctor was a very bad doctor, she said that everything is ok with my vision and glasses aren't needed. I didn't wear glasses for 1 year and that caused my vision to get even worse than before. When I started wearing glasses, my vision was already -3. But then I found a doctor who helped me and even my vision got -7, my eyes were in a very good condition. I am very thankful to her that my vision didn't get lower than that.
So you need to find a good doctor. I wish you good luck and don't be afraid, everything will be fine. 😊

I had this done after many years of dithering. I am short sighted.
Carried out to one eye only and I can see better than 20/20.
I experienced quite intense pain for half a day which is unusual and after that, the pain went away and was just sore. My vision stabilised within 2 to 3 weeks.
I don't wear glasses and I should have done it many years ago.
My only problems are depth perception is a little off. I play tennis and soccer, so it's not much of a problem. I now can swim and kite surf no glasses seeing everything.
At AUS$1500, it was a bargain.
