    My answer to the follow up question:
    As aforementioned, although I may not have access to analysis, I will use my own expertise and continue to maintain a rational, practical, and objective point of view. Unfortunately, age in the case will be a very strong determining factor. Not only will the likelihood of the 80 year old man surviving the operation will most likely be lower than the 20 year old, but the 80 year old man may not have much longer to live in comparison to the younger man. Of course, it may be true that the 20 year old man may continue to repeat his alchoholic habits, but he may be prompted to act more responsibly after this incident. Therefore, based on objective reasoning, the younger man would get the kidney transplant.

      I think this response is good, but I wouldn’t stress that the response is objective. Although you consider all viewpoints and make a rational and guided decision, you still operate from a framework and worldview of your own personal experience at the end of the day (i.e. that you believe, after considering the evidence, in the benevolent change of the 20 year old). There will always be subjectivity in ethical decisions.
