Out of anyone I've heard over the years, you have the best tone and playing feel for Jimi's style, it's pretty spot on, well done man! Great version of one of the best blues rock tunes ever!
No…. Thank you🙏 I’ve played strats since the mid 70s. Inspired by what I witnessed as a kid in Jimi as a master of sound and overall music. His work in putting together the many songs he made. The natural way he just created some of music’s masterpieces. Of course not every person’s love but the way I see it he really was a master song writer and performed them to perfection the way they were meant to sound and make you feel. Dude you are a master in the same “natural” way he used the axe and I’m dumbfounded that I haven heard of you before now. Randy Hanson is a master and a king of the tones……much like yourself. Technique, sound, tone, complete ability to use the fretboard and “style” you play with your own style which is different to Randy….that’s the difference. You use the song and make it taste the same as Jimi without trying to be him if you know what I mean. That’s the difference. If I was a millionaire I’d grab you and give you to the public that hasn’t had a master on the axe in a long time. Be yourself and keep playing like millions of us would give anything to be like🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👌👌👌👌👌✊✊✊✊✊✊
Dude you play it and you are it. Yes a Hendrix song but you have got your own style and it is deffo a gift of the gods. You are there🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘👌👌👌👌✊✊✊💯💯✊👌👌💯🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏🙏 I’ve listened to the god since the late 60s and I know the feeling of when it’s real…..when it’s copied….. and when it’s good and you have to be the best of your craft and style I’ve heard in about 50 years🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Gary, many thanks for your kind and sweet thoughts, it's the words like that that keep me going and keep me playing. Many thanks and best regards from Slovenia! Hope that maybe one day I can come and play for you ❤😊🤗
Yeah, another insane song. Really, I'm aware there is lots of stuff in world that's very worthwhile to listen to. I had afew decades time to listen to all of it. No matter if Trash, Metal, Blues, Classic, Techno or anything. But what Jimi Hendrix can do to my emotions etc is absolutely unreachable by any band or music style. So, hearing this comes closest to that feeling. For that you have my biggest thanks 🙏 It's the next best thing to jimi himself. Well done ❤
Julijan, love your playing and interpretations. Are there any books, practices that you would recommend studying to get past the usual “double stop” and “unison bend” technique secrets that are everywhere for Hendrix lessons? Working hard to think like that while moving through the songs. Thanks for the great content!
@@fitnesswithbill5595 many thanks for your message and support! I guess there are no shortcuts, you have to play this style until it gets better. I jammed a lot with friends on "what I thought at the time were correct" songs, and practiced a lot, working on sound, recording myself etc.... it's hard to talk about the right way how to approach this.... when I started learning guitar there was no you tube, only online tabs and guitar pro programe, both a lot of times incorrect, but every little thing that will inspire you and make you play more often will help. I recommend you playing and jamming on the tunes you like, listen to basslines, try to record them and jam on them etc.... I also give skype lessons if you want to get into something more detailed etc.... let me know.... all best and many thanks 🤗😊

This is totally your own Jimi inspired fresh version. An honest tribute that sounds and looks like the original but is your own. Well played. The only thing that would top this, imho, is to play it through four 100 watt Marshall heads set at full volume with eight x four speaker boxes. Even the bass player looks genuine with his trousers, not surfee shorts.
@@frarees thanks for your message, on the internet I read he used the fender bassman amp if I remember correctly. I also got good sound with a twin and fuzzface. Definately more cleaner platform amp a la Fender and germanium fuzzface + some delay pedal to get that studio sound 🤗😊
