Wilder deserves a fond farewell. Wrap your head around this: until the recent Parker loss, Deontay Wilder KOed or Knocked down ALL opponents. 40 of them! That is just stunning. He did that weighing around 214 lbs, often outweighed by at least 30lbs. Fans want action and Wilder brought wild crazy KO fights. He came back at 38 and lost to the streaking Parker and one last run at the Monster Zhang and he deserves a massive standing ovation farewell. Thats all.

Ortiz? A few mediocre fringe level fighters like Breazele, Stiverne. He put some serious dents in Fury and was probably unlucky not to win the first fight after folding fury in half. He’s not the greatest by any stretch but deserves respect for his bravery and punch power.

Actually an amazing point he makes about this not being sad to see these fighters retire. It's sad if they have to retire without their health and without money. Wilder seems like if he gets out now he'll have gotten out looking good in both categories. Plus, Wilder was always willing to fight dangerous opponents. He's not the best of this era. But he was at least one of the top guys in his era and put on some super entertaining fights for us. He took a loss tonight - but I think he's got a win overall when it comes to a career.

@@fredhall6525’The mob took care of him’ whats that supposed to mean? The Mafia and Joe Louis saga is one of the saddest stories in boxing by far. When the IRS came knocking on Joes door all the mob did was get a retired broken old man back in the ring again to get whupped by young prospects. Even Marciano is on record regretting and deeply saddened to face and beat up his hero with crippling financial problems. Joe Louis was a world renowned boxing legend who stood up for America and made a mockery of Hitler and he ultimately ends up stoney broke and a ‘yes’ man in the mobs pocket, so embarrassing. That’s definitely no story he’d have wanted to share happily with his grandchildren. No sir.

@@fredhall6525 You shouldn’t go shouting ignorant things like that, making out like the mob were his saviour, because they weren’t. The mob literally left the legendary “Brown Bomber” to rot when he died in 1981. Even his famous foe from the Nazi era the German Max Schmelling stepped in to help pay Joe Louis Funeral costs in 1981. The mob profited even from his misery, then there’s the Sonny Liston story and his mob association throughout his entire career until his bizarre unsolved death… Where the mob is involved nobody is taken care of except the mobsters families. It’s all ugly, and sadness is guaranteed for the boxers.

Once a fighter gets to the point when he doesn't assert his offense because he's worried about defense (defending himself) he's never the same fighter and this usually happens from being knocked out previously, which is why it's important not to think that any fighter is the best just because of an undefeated record because what makes a fighter is how he responds after a lost or being knocked out.

To go to the a division with guys a lot larger and stronger with a more solid boxing pedigree . Take one Hand and Rule the division with an Iron Fist with out having great head movement having every competitor concerned about being hit by U!
To take one hand in any sport and make it to the top is Unbelievable! But to take that hand and secure the financial future for your family and walk away with one of the best and highest Knockout rates in the history of the sport! Is Phenomenal!!!
