    By far and away the best break down of a garage/shop build.
    I cannot think of any other video that comes close to the detail level you provided. You did not miss a single thing.
    What shocked me to most was the cost breakdown, I had assumed you were going to say $200,000, and then say “probably higher by todays prices”. That is to say you got a $200,000 garage for half price, amazing.
    What part of the US are you in? This garage would cost a quarter million in CT.

      Thanks! I'm in northern Vermont. It would have cost a lot more if I didn't do a lot of the work myself. I think doing it pre-inflation and pre-supply chain issues helped. Can I ask you where you found this video? I've seen a huge uptick in views the last few days so I'm wondering if someone shared it somewhere.

    Made it to the end. 40x60 is mt dream shop also, with plans in back of my mind for more room later. I will be doing something this spring for my garage.

    Things I would do differently: build it at my house. Lol it was fun watching this go up over time man. Impressive.

    Nice shop. I am impressed.
    I am the DIY type myself, built a lot of my 30x40x12, but there is no way in hell I am finishing all of that sheetrock myself. I'll hang the sheetrock and pay someone to tape/mud it.

    That is a great setup! I love the maximized the upstairs and downstairs workspace. This video is getting saved to my "Dream Shop" playlist.

    At the 1hr mark... for lighting with your current setup, look up "light tubes" or "tubular skylights." You could easily install a few of those into your current roof/ceiling to give you some natural light upstairs.

    Great job. For your lights problem get some wifi light switches, you can turn off from bed. Wifi thermostat would be great also. Good work.

      @@802Garage o lol I say his videos helped me in my AEM tune videos .. him walking you through how to set everything up at the beginning really helped me and I think I even put a link to his video in my one video .. cuz I probably would have never got my car started if it wasn't for him and giving me like a base of like how to turn everything on lol

    How is the Quincy compressor working out ? Why not the quieter system with rotary and drier ?

    • @802Projects
      @802Projects  ปีที่แล้ว

      No complaints with it and it fills very fast. Some day I'll get a drier and run air lines. All the screw type compressors were 2-3X the price.

    What wheels are those on your 3000gt?

    • @802Projects
      @802Projects  ปีที่แล้ว

      The black vr4 has 18x9 +40 offset enkei rp03 rims. The red vr4 has oem Evo 10 rims.

    • @simplejoeshow
      @simplejoeshow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@802Projects Thanks, I have a red '92 with 17" RPF1's and I'm considering going to 18's

    • @802Projects
      @802Projects  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the rp03s are discontinued. If you do find a set though they will not work with your factory calipers (or at least 2g calipers). The spoke near the hub will hit. I think you could grind a little material off the calipers and they'd work though. Unsure about 1g vr4 calipers.

    • @simplejoeshow
      @simplejoeshow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@802Projects yeah I was actually eyeing the stock EVO 10 wheels, those clear right?

    • @802Projects
      @802Projects  ปีที่แล้ว

      They definitely clear 2g calipers. I'm not positive about 1g calipers but I'd think so. Even though it's a 1g 93 vr4, I have 2g front and rear brakes on it.

    64 x 40 = 2,560 square feet
    52 x 52 = 2,704 square feet
    Same amount of building materials.
    A square is better than a rectangle.
