Richey and Nicky - Japanese interview

Richey Edwards and Nicky Wire of the Manic Street Preachers really really really love Japan! In this casual but cute Japanese interview (GATS period) they talk of their love of rain, video games and fruit machines, Richeys cuts and burns, and other things they enjoy and prefer about Japan. Except all the smoking according to Nicky, all the while as Richey chain smokes like a fiend through-out the entire interview!

The Japanese actually have a very decent understanding of the nobility of self mutilation. The language barrier just prevented it from being articulated as well as it might have been. The interviewer (male) had a genuine interest in the psychology of Richey's tendencies.

At 2:38 he says"watashi wa samishi kanashii boy desu" which means "I am a lonely sad boy".
And then he says "konjuyaki" which probably means "scars".
Normally you'll learn introducing yourself first but he tried to learn how to express his pains first....It seems...

2:56 根性焼き　こんじょうやき　konjouyaki
means 'test of courage by burning skin with cigarette' according to my dictionary.
Konjou means will-power, guts, courage, temper, nature or spirit.
Yaki is used at the end of food names like Teriyaki.
So there you go.

i dont understand that interview at all is there a god interview on here in english tells ya a bit better people?
