Both sounded great and I'd be more than happy with either but my ear gravitated to the green pedal just a tad more. Love that Gretsch guitar it's so cool good accurate playing mate!
Great video mate! I liked the green one the best out of em all! The big one.... that's a lot of real estate on the board for what it does.... If u can get the same thing out of something smaller why not just go with that.
To be honest Jonny😎 I preferred the green /Amp modeller tube screamer Behringer copy, I understand that with the posh one you could tailor it to suit, but .. I still think that having Ibanez tube screamer's in the day, they were overly hyped and easy to damage, im a TC Electronics man my self, ( I'm about to sell all my my TC electronics pedals as I've just snagged a G system for a oner! APPY days!) but i do have the Berhringer super fuzz and a JimDunlop wah pedal from the Seventies, cos I'm a Fossil😂✌️😎👍🎸
Something says to me that they missed a trick with this can it should of had the model number or VT-666. had one of these badboys back in the day and really enjoyed it
Was there a touch of Hate of the City there ,Johnny? I prefered the green box. I have one and often surprise folk who think is something else(rather more expensive).
I'm biased, I love my Behringer Vintage VT-999 and it loves humbuckers ! I'm not sure how to describe why, but it feels more "natural" less "compressed", less "artificial". The tube in there reduces the gain available and, I think, makes it less "in your face". I'm no pro guitarist and I've never seen one of these on a stage.... but what do I know about anything ? ?
I do like it, and i did get "my sound" out of it. I just feel that I can get that from the £30 Tube Amp Modeller, rather than spending £77 on a bigger pedal. I think the difference is the VT999 is for people with a very good Amplifier, and the Modeller is for people who don't as it has 3 Tube Amp presets.
Cool video! Honestly they all bring a different flavor to the mix. I like the actual tube pedal the best. That said I definitely appreciate my Big Muff NYC more now as it has a bit more bullocks than these pedals!😎👍✨
@BudgetGuitarShow So, there are a few different flavors to a Electro Harmonix Big Muff. I LOVE my Big Muff NYC (it's the big silver one with black and red graphics on it). Back in the 1990s I owned a Sovtek version that I didn't like at all. There is also a version called a "Ram's Head" and I have not played that one. Loads of songs you love feature a Big Muff. My NYC pedal was modded by a company called Alchemy Audio where I have an additional mini toggle to change diodes in it. It also has a "Dead Bat" feature with a small knob where I can starve the pedal for power which can make it sound raunchier. I also have a Rat 2 pedal that Alchemy Audio modded as well. That said I keep a Ibanez Tubescreamer Mini pedals in front of both on my pedal board to goose either one of them. Between the Alchemy Audio mods and having the Tubescreamer in front, I basically have a whole menu of Boutique pedal tones (because MOST builders do variations of Standard pedals) between all three pedals. I haven't really found a tone with the Rat goosing the Big Muff that I like. 😎👍✨
That’s much better than a tube screamer I like it
I like them all!🙂👍🎸
Sounded rather nice, great work Johnny 👍
Thanks mate

The green is the Tube overdrive, the blue is the Tube Amp Modeller
@BudgetGuitarShow Then for me it's the Green one! Err Not Arf, Pop Pickers 😊✌️😎👍🎸
@daveFiendish1313 not 'arf
Great video. Behringer pedals are amazing value. I'd buy the Vintage Tube Monster for £77 too.
Totally agree!
Something says to me that they missed a trick with this can it should of had the model number or VT-666. had one of these badboys back in the day and really enjoyed it
I like it, it's great as a standalone unit through high quality gear, but I love the Modeller for the Amp settings
I like that a lot! Only thing is the two cheaper pedal are nearly as good, much cheaper and you can run them off battery.
Yep, my thoughts too

If there was it's unintentional. The 3 test clips are my own songs.

@@BudgetGuitarShow I run mine through a HB Tube 15 which may be why it sounds "smoother" - I'm sure others on here will have something to say!!
I ran it through as it was into my interface in the tests, but through my DAW in the mix. I much preferred it through the interface
I liked all of em
Young Johnny I've found you're a noisy bugger 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘👋👋👋👋nice sounds !...
Haha yes I am lol

I have never tried one of those

It's really good isn't it?
