    Hi Cat, you're amazing! All of the other reviews people just fly through things and don't give a clear step-by-step. Tons of people appreciate your approach, and I'm one of them. Your tutorial showed me things I never even imagined were options to simplify life in Teams calls and other random things I use daily.
    Now I have plans to use an old iOS device on an arm for my work PC, another old iOS device for a laptop companion, and will use the Stream Deck+ I bought today for my personal/VR/gaming PC. Thank you!

    I discovered your YT channel - just a couple weeks ago when I got my Stream Deck + and was trying to figure out. And, I've watched a bunch - as I'm trying to take my on-line presentation up a notch. THANK YOU!
    I LOVE my Stream Deck. Hoping that they'll make the Android free ver too as I'm looking for something for when I'm on the road.

    There is a lot of value in this video, thank you for putting it together Cat! Your configurations are quite welll thought out & comprehensive. It was meaningful that you took the time to show all of those nuances! As someone completely new to Stream Decks (but have often considered one), knowing that all of those capabilities are even possible is a game changer.

    Enjoy your video very much. I am quite new and got StreamDeck mobile 2 weeks ago with lifetime version. I have 2 questions to consult you:
    1. I set 4x8 buttons. Can I set another 2x3 or 2x4 etc buttons page for any new profiles and how to do that?
    2. If I can do a 2x3 or 2x4 etc buttons format, can I enlarge the button/icon image frame to have a more clear/larger picture of the icons appeared on my Ipad? Appreciate your help.

    I was looking forward to the iPad version so much. Finally, we get more buttons there - and with the lifetime plan, it should really help when on the road. I did buy a monthly plan when I needed it. Thank you, Cat, for the hint. I didn't even know that the mobile app has now been improved.

    Thanks for the video. I didn't know we could get the 6 Button Mobile Stream Deck for free. I was considering purchasing a physical model and was wondering how functional it would be. With the mobile version, I'll take a few days to explore it; This will allow me to get a good idea of its relevance.

    Thanks Cat, I was delaying using Streamdeck as it is so expensive in NZ to use, so I will be able to try it out. Brill!

    So, I'm not sure if the free plan is still working for existing clients, but Elgato, sometime in the intervening 8 months since this video's release, have made the lifetime free version and turned it into a limited time trial version, which is sad. I'm still not sure I'm going to make it as a streamer (Twitch keep changing the rules to their rules every time I come close to even affiliate status). While this very limited time trial sounds inviting, the reality is very different. It could take months or years to not succeed and *i* don't have the money to keep pouring in to it, to be honest.

    Hi. **HOW** do you add obs to the stream deck mobile? I was hoping you would have covered that. (you didn't 😞) Unless you have *another* video somewhere that explains it?

    Very good presentation. I love my physical stream deck so my first thought was not being able to feel buttons so having to look down. Of course, you pointed that out. 😊 I could still see using this for some things, maybe with an old iPad that’s collecting dust. The lifetime plan seems reasonable to me and hey, it supports the development of the software so I’m good with that.

      The more I dive in, the more possibilities I see with the mobile app! For example, you can use your mobile app to switch profiles on your physical stream deck 😉

    Something is wrong on the hyper link to the elgato Apple Store. I’m on an iPhone 13pro TH-cam app and it pops up “Cannot Connect to App Store”😢

    • @CatMulvihill
      @CatMulvihill  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no! Then I would go straight to the App Store from your phone and look up Stream Deck. It should be the first one.

  • @JonBushell

    I added excel plugins but they don’t show on the right side? Because it’s only free account?

    • @CatMulvihill
      @CatMulvihill  ปีที่แล้ว

      That shouldn't be the case! The Elgato instructions mention access to all plugins even on the free plan.
      Now, in my video, I didn't use an Excel plugin. I used the Open to launch excel and open a folder, then every other action was a Hotkey using Excel shortcuts (support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/keyboard-shortcuts-in-excel-1798d9d5-842a-42b8-9c99-9b7213f0040f#PickTab=Windows)

    I teach classes over Zoom with a .ppt. I've watched many, many of your videos. I feel like I set everything up right; (two monitors, OBS, streamdeck) but when I turn it all on and use it on Zoom, my .ppt scene on OBS just stays on one slide, even though my .ppt screen is advancing properly. Do you think my whole problem is my i5 processor?

    • @CatMulvihill
      @CatMulvihill  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't say for sure, but processing power does matter when you are running PPT, Zoom, and OBS all at the same time. But, I'm surprised it's not just lagging instead of not advancing at all (I would expect it to eventually switch slides in OBS, albeit slow).
      It might be worth setting aside OBS for a moment and testing how your computer handles PPT Cameo (inserting you camera feed into the PPT slides).

    This totally defeats the purpose for me. I wanted a stream deck because I luv the analog aspect of the separate hardware plus the configurability
