This is so heartbreaking. It reminds me of when I took my hijab off for the first time. It was 42c and I felt like I was gonna faint. I was in a bus with no men around so I pulled up my sleeve and loosened my the hijab from around my neck. I felt slightly better. But then men came in and I quickly covered myself again. But the men were wearing shorts and half sleeve tshirts. It made me so angry. Why can men walk around wearing whatever they want and I have to suffer under the shackles of hijab like i'm a second class slave.
And that was the moment I realized my worth in Islam. And at that point I rolled my sleeves up and took off my hijab. My hair was messed up and it got messed up even more but I didn't care for one bit. It felt like I was in prison and I finally got out. Never wore that thing again.

Contrary to popular opinion, the hijab has nothing to do with modesty.
The verse of the veil was revealed because muhamad’s perverted companion umar had a habit of spying on women when they left their homes to relieve themselves. The veil would thus help him differentiate between muslim women from non muslim women or slave women.
Narrated Abd Al-A’laa from Mo’ammar from Al-Zuhri from Anas who said: Umar saw a slave-girl wearing Hijab then he beat her and said: "Do not make yourself like free women!"
A slave girl of Muhajirun or Ansaar came to Umar wearing Jilbab (complete Hijab), he said: "Have you been freed?" She said: “No!” He said: “Put it off your head.” Jilbab is for the freed women. So she hesitated, so he got up to her with the whip (darrah), and he hit her on the head, until she threw it.
      Al-Musannaf. Vol. 3, Pg. # 128
Narrated 'Aisha: The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).
      Sahih Bukhari 1:4:148
A'isha reported that Sauda (Allah be pleased with her) went out (in the fields) in order to answer the call of nature even after the time when veil had been prescribed for women. She had been a bulky lady, significant in height amongst the women, and she could not conceal herself from him who had known her. 'Umar b. Khattab saw her and said: Sauda, by Allah, you cannot conceal from us. Therefore, be careful when you go out. She ('A'isha) said: She turned back. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was at that time in my house having his evening meal and there was a bone in his hand. She (Sauda) cline and said: Allah's Messenger. I went out and 'Umar said to me so and so. She ('A'isha) reported: There came the revelation to him and then it was over; the bone was then in his hand and he had not thrown it and he said:" Permission has been granted to you that you may go out for your needs."

Most mohemadan women wear the hijab wrong including the woman in the video.
As per sharia law a mohemadan woman has to cover her face completely with her hijab.
      Sahih al-Bukhari 6240
      Narrated `Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) `Umar bin Al-Khattab used to say to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) "Let your wives be veiled" but he did not do so. The wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) used to go out to answer the call of nature at night only at Al-Manasi.' Once Sauda, the daughter of Zam`a went out and she was a tall woman. `Umar bin Al-Khattab saw her while he was in a gathering, and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda!" He (`Umar) said so as he was anxious for some divine orders regarding the veil (the veiling of women.) *So Allah revealed the Verse of veiling. (Al-Hijab; a complete body cover excluding the eyes).* (See Hadith No. 148, Vol. 1)
      Sahih al-Bukhari 4758
      Narrated `Aishah:
May Allah bestow His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah revealed: "... and to draw their veils all over their Juyubihinna (i.e., their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)..." (V.24:31) they tore their Murat (woolen dresses or waist-binding clothes or aprons etc.) and *covered their heads and faces* with those torn Muruts.
Also, in sura 24:31 it says: “…that they should draw their head covers over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers….”
Notice that “head cover” is mentioned in this verse. So if one is pulling down the head cover to one's bosom it logically follows that one must cover their faces too because the face is between the head and bosom. This is consistent with the hadiths above.

When we criticize the Hijab, we need to clarify that we're not only criticizing those that force women to wear the Hijab but MORE IMPORTANTLY the difficulty of muslim women who wear it BY CHOICE. And that's why our focus is mainly not the Hijab, but dismantling the ideology of Islam so that even those women who put themselves under this difficulty by choice are also free from it in the coming years, as more awareness about the falsification of Islam is spread among muslims.

Saying that it's a choice when your fellow sisters are killed every day means you're overlooking the oppression of all those women who lost their lives and that my dear, is blatant hypocrisy.

Believing Muslims, Christians and others abstain from eating and drinking, sexual activity, sacrifice freedom, etc. and feel guilty when they fail. Some even harm themselves thinking that they will be rewarded after death.
To be clear: Just consuming every available joy and distraction that may cross your path does not make you happy. I´m not advocating for thoughtless hedonism. But everybody should be free to decide, when to enjoy eating and when to fast for health or spiritual experience. When to spend time with other people for whatever reason, and when to stay on his/her own. When to wear a scarf, and when to enjoy the wind blowing through the hair.

No, Hijab =/= headveil, and Allah is not FORCING anyone to do anything, if did, it would be pointless giving us the ability to make decisions. • @markustanbeck9149
      @markustanbeck9149 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@flyinglegion5697 You are almost there. It is not Allah forcing anyone - because Allah is the excuse, the divine authority created to give credence and culpability. The one who instituted the ''forcing'' is Mohammad, and all the men after him, who have carried on the tradition of upholding this sort of practice. Much like with evangelicals and abortion, this is about controlling women. It is about putting a fence around them, and calling it a spiritual duty - shaming and guilting them for not complying. The free choice comes with punishment from peers, and is as such, not as free as Muslims like to portray it. As for your excuse about misinterpretations, the Quran is pretty straightforward about the duty to cover yourself as a women - any interpretation made beyond that is unorthodox and a personal flavor. But with all matters of faith, when you leave it up to linguistic duplicity, personal interpretation and ''my reading is the correct reading'', not everyone is going to agree - and women will, and continue to be, afflicted by the burden of a medieval practice that serves to enshrine their bodies as things to be guarded - an obvious sexualization of their natural bodies, and a sheltering of the male sexuality, which is what they are being guarded from. Allah was a poor designer, because he was an illiterate merchant, and you know that deep down.

    • @flyinglegion5697
      @flyinglegion5697 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@markustanbeck9149 @Markus Tanbeck No, you're wrong, Allah isn't the excuse. Allah meaning God, isn't created, if God is created then God it isn't really God, Allah just means God. Like I said, people have misinterpreted the verses, Muhammed didn't force anyone to cover their head, all the men after him made up their own rules on his behalf without his permission. About Abortion, that's a controversial topic, and even if I was atheist, I wouldn't fully agree with abortion, after 6 weeks of pregnancy, the unborn baby is a person inside the womb that can feel, so this "my body, my choice" is stupid, because the baby has a body of its own, so logically it's 2 bodies, people use the excuse "the child is a burden", well that doesn't give anyone the right to null the child's right to live. And the idea that free choice comes with punishment from peers is retarded, those peers are just judgmental and insecure, no one has given them the right to decide what other people should or shouldn't do, our duty is to only teach and advise, not to judge and control people. And for my "excuse" about misinterpretations, it's not an excuse... yh the Quran is pretty straightforward, but people have misinterpreted it, I can't believe you ignore that fact, they usually misinterpret with man made hadiths and purposely misinterpret it to align with their traditions, anything straightforward can be strawmanned, like how these people on TH-cam strawman anything straightforward. And you're claim against Allah is stupid and subjective.

      @@i.s.9623 For two main reasons:
      1. There is absolutely NO quote in Quran, which states that a hair veil must be worn. A Hijab is an intrinsic motivation of protecting yourself from exposure. This might be a hair veil as well as modest clothing. Further has any Hadith tolerance for inaccuracies which makes it inadequate and an unsuitable source when it comes to controversial matters. And you are calling others as “fools”…
      2. WHY should I voluntarily pick a religion, which locks me in and oppresses my freedom? This is the opposite of what faith is supposed to deliver. Believers should feel safe and freed from this mad world. A hair veil in the first place avoids this light feeling and deprives my freedom, as it comes with a behavior expected by the Muslim community.
One more thing, which proves my approach in that topic: Any culture has a different understanding of what a “proper “ hijab is. Some cover tight but let the face open, some cover the lower face part, some cover even the hands and eyes, some can see the hair-roots and it’s worn loose and some show their feet, others don’t. What a hijab is, depends on your community. I choose to be free as I want to feel empowered by my faith rather than oppressed.

I know it is so difficult for people to leave a faith that they were born and nurtured in and we must befriend others who need help in shaking off the ideas that tell us that God will judge us in the afterlife. That’s a terrible burden for young people to carry and it is totally unnecessary. Why can’t people belong to a faith and use their mind to sift through the unsupported ideologies? I wish and hope for a world where that freedom is possible.

A friend of mine, who privately had also apostatized few months ago, told me that she felt much more free whenever she takes her hijab off. Muslim women had always told her that, aside from the spiritual benefits and to please the creator, in term of worldly and material benefit it can be harvested too. Considering that muslim women who wear the hijab, wouldnt need to worry about having their hair groom and styled every week or even every month.
By means, it was said that by wearing a hijab, women may need less maintenance for their hair & head. All they had to spent is some money for the head scarves. Following my friend's journey, she started off with wearing hijab since child. Maybe around 12 years old or so, ever since that day, she never really took off her hijab unless in her own home with her mahram. For more than 10 years of wearing the hijab, she eventually had developed some skin and scalp issues, but her family never really got concerned or even cared about it since they'll brush it off by saying stuff like "The Hijab is what will help you conceal those issues that you're facing.." or "there's no need for a scalp treatment, you're wearing hijab so, what's the significance of treating and beautifying your hair, whilst you still need to cover them publicly".
Apparently, she's suffering from a scalp problem and a mild hair loss. She ended up had to pay a big load of money for scalp treatment and stuff. From something that she thought can be less of a burden, eventually lead to more bigger problem. That friend of mine regretted for not taking her hijab off sooner. She could've avoid all of this mess.

How much of my body do I have to show off to prove to the world that I'm not oppressed? When I wear high heels and make up, am I oppressed or free? Isn't that entirely up to me to decide? When will the society and the govt stop telling women what to wear? I say this as an atheist and a woman. When women's clothing is so emotionally charged and political, then it's a problem. (Was there a time when this wasn't so?) The woman who wrote about her experience clearly has issues with her hijab - she shouldn't have to wear it.

@@RandPersonn I appreciate the response. It looks like you’ve answered your own question multiple times. First of all my comment was primarily to do with abdullah sameer using this Muslim women’s post for his own anti Islamic agenda. She was describing what it’s like to sacrifice for God and the struggle that comes with it with the hope of reward in the afterlife. That scenario could equally be applied to so many different sacrifices people make. Not cheating on a spouse, stealing from your company etc. It’s sad that when it comes to people then we are quick to enforce the right and wrongs, but when it comes to God then we actively encourage sinning and betraying Him. I hope you understand where I’m coming from. This woman’s experience is right for her even though I don’t necessarily hold the same beliefs I admire her greatly as someone with great integrity.
Secondly, regarding why the emphasis is on women. Tell me, why do women have to cover their breasts in western countries while men don’t? whether little or a lot, the reasons matter do they not?

I’ve seen secular people cry over a hurt dog but not even care about poor human beings. People will differ in what is and isn’t appropriate and you using your own personal standards and anecdotal experience to set the parameters for all people is unfair. The societal norm now is heavily sexualised to the point of being unrecognisable from even a few decades past and it starts small. it was men who wrote their religion, so *yes* they are forced by men to wear it. I think it's a horrible thing to say when a muslim woman says hijab means feminism. Just because it's a scarf worn only by females does not make it "feminism" and how exactly did allah look at women before clothing or modern fabrics existed, back when there was no such thing as hijab? Were all the women who ran around unclothed in the savanah unclean and destined for hell? I assume most muslims are too uneducated to think about these points.

Doing it for no good reason...hmm bro, to them they have the perfect reason. Obeying Allah. It's our job to first unveil to them that allah is unreal
