Why do you even need other opinions to decide who to vote for? Can you not discern the policy differences? Tell me why inflation and interest rates were much lower than now? Why is the deficit nearly double what it was under Trump? Why are 20 million illegal immigrants in this country, many of them getting EBT cards for food and lodging?
You should do a lot more study.

@@mr.g1758 My husband owns a big restaurant in Paris, France. Before Covid, we had a great income from his restaurant earnings. Now, he is struggling to not lose his restaurant. Covid destroyed economies most everywhere and nothing has returned to normal. The fact that Donald Trump was in the White House for 4 years and could be again is the greatest shame our country has ever known. The fact that what used to be normal Americans have been duped into thinking there is anything good or successful about him. He has lost every business he's ever started. He is an vile human being.

In my understanding and life experiences, I can see Frank speaks the truth about the decision facing Americans in this election. The choice is between dictatorship and decency, and for continuing the United States of America or turning into Trumpistan. Thank you for choosing to vote BLUE up and down the ballot! There is a lengthy interview "special" on Frontline's TH-cam channel with one of V.P. Harris' sorority sisters. She very clearly speaks about the mission of that sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. It's a mission of SERVICE to the community. Trump is all about himself. All his 78 years of life it has always been all about him and him alone. Harris presents Americans with a very different kind of personality. Hers is a well rounded, disciplined, inclusive and THOROUGH personality. Trump is an incomplete being by comparison.
I trust Kamala Harris to be who she has always been, a service oriented professional with a stainless steel backbone and a light sense of humor. The testimonies of people who have known her well for decades are all serious but laudatory. Everyone respects her. Because she has EARNED that respect. Trump only has a captive cult of suckers who are NOT serious about policies and leadership. Service is anathema to Trump's personality cult. I'm preaching to the choir, I know. I trust you all to vote blue. Thanks.

Thank you, Frank Schaeffer. I sighed a few times while listening to you speak of normalcy. I sighed with a little catch of cry in my throat. Oh, for normalcy!
Kamala and Tim taking their seats in the Exec branch is only the beginning. How in the world will We-the-People help Kamala to rid the political class of officeholders and also the greedy, wealthy and powerful who serve a master other than the voters?
(Credit goes to John Flannery for expressing the question in this particular manner.)
I will sigh with relief when Kamala and Tim take office, as you say, Frank Schaeffer. At the same time, I will take a vow to myself to NOT look away from the work of reform that MUST be done.
I will have a look at the people who are appointed, or who step forward in the new administration, and ask myself, "Would I welcome this person as my neighbor? What do I see?"

When trump posted his hatred of Taylor Swift on a perfectly beautiful early autumn morning, I commented on another platform that I couldn't imagine someone waking up in this beautiful natural world and yelling that out. That is abnormal.

Hello Franck, I am happy to meet you and to realize that you are a good person.
I am French and live in France 🇫🇷, I completely agree with you about preserving the true values of life. I have always been on the side of "normal" people who care about values close to human because it's my only compass to keep my feet on the ground.
I have the beliefs of a center-left person which are close to the values of a democrat.
I have nothing against the Republicans who are part of the arc of living together but Trump and his MAGA ideology absolutely do not suit my values because this movement is centered on a single man with all the powers that will be conferred on him .
I think it's extremely dangerous for a democracy and I still don't know why so many Americans are ready to elect a crazy old man who doesn't love his country.
There you have it, my thoughts, hoping that your little health problem will resolve very quickly.

Thank you so much for this. Wow, I love seeing the comments of folks who have been persuaded to vote for Kamala because of your simple yet profound message. Yes, please keep being the voice of reason and sanity... and love.

Yes, normalcy is what we are missing and desperately need back! I am saddened that many in my life are no longer friends, or even family. I would welcome them with open arms even though I know they are GOP, I am not rejecting the relationship because they are republican, I am rejecting anyone who is voting for trmp, JD, Project 2025 and a future too horrible to imagine. I want to be friends again with my neighbors and not care who they voted for, I want people to treat each other with respect, be polite and have compassion. I miss that greatly. That is what Kamala and Tim bring to the table. And why I am voting not only for them, but blue all the way down the ballot so she has all the support she needs to accomplish her vision.

Thank you sir for being a voice of reasoning. There is a saying in my native language "when we have elders in the market/community the youngsters/children around are normal and protected" as an independent voter your words does matter.
