Both serve the same purpose! For me, Kali has a special place in my heart as because of the huge community and coming from a backtrack user Kali will be always my go-to pentest OS.

If it's just parrot and kali then it is very easy to figure out which one is for you. But the problem arises when the OS comes with different Desktop Environments. Parrot comes with KDE, MATE and XFCE. I think Xfce is the most lightweight. And kali also comes with Xfce as default. I personally checked that parrot os Xfce and kali uses the same ram and CPU. So if you were confused about which one should you choose? or which one gives you the best performance? So, my straight answer is both(Parrot Xfce and kali) gave you the same speed. Now it all depends on the looks and IMHO parrot Xfce has the better look or UI.

In my point of view, if you're completely beginner you can go with parrot. I recommend to beginners to learn the cmd like ls, mkdir, touch, cp, lsblk then start your journey. And remember directories is folder, When I start I was confused about this.
Parrot
- Easy to install os
- Default Desktop Environment (KDE plasma)
Kali
- It is little bit different you have to choose desktop environment manually.
- Default Desktop Environment (can be anything)

But I support Pentoo. It has inbuilt memory protection. Have a hardened kernel and toolchain.
To my dear friends: parrot is is best for low end device and can be used for daily use .and can be used for both cyber security and daily use.
About Kali : best for high end device .lags in low end device .only used for hacking, penetration etc(cyber security based). Little more powerful than parrot .
But both have same kernal and shell features

I had been using Parrot OS for performance issue with the netbook I had but then I bought an i5 Laptop with 8gb of ram and definitely Kali Linux is the best option.

Ok,you explained pretty well but there are few,well not mistakes but errors i think.
1.kali 2016.1 only supports uefi else all are legacy
2.There are major kenel difference in both linux

Kali linux or Parrot are nothing but a standard linux distro with pre installed tools. Its similar to any linux , so if you know linux basics you can use any linux ditro. So it is not the matter of any OS . It is based on your knowledge of tools their uses and all. So you don't know the basics of the tools or theory related concepts , all the tools installed are just a waste of space. So don't worry much and learn linux basics. Rest easy having tools will change nothing if you don't know how to use them. So if you know the linux basics and later on develop a knowledge of all the tools you prefer.So you can later on take up a standard linux distro and customize and install the tools you use and require. I do agree with all his statements in the video though but in short it is not the matter of kali or parrot. It is a matter of preference. But I don't recommend kali or parrot for daily use. It is windows or OsX you should prefer. Linux distros you can us as a Virtual machines.(And yes if you go for brute force attacks : A POWERFUL GPU DOES HELP!!!!! :)
