Nice collection. I grew up with a Turboduo in high school and am kicking myself in the back for getting rid of it. I had many of the extremely rare titles like Bonk 3 on both card and Super CD, Godzilla, and Beyond Shadowgate. Wishing I could get it all back, but that would be a fortune. I at least picked up the TG16 mini. Devils Crush was my favorite pinball of the three.
Nice collection man. I have a mix of turbo grafx 16 and pce myself. Love playing turbo grafx at my friend's house growing up. So many great games. Love bonks adventure.
Thanks! TG16 is something I never got to experience younger, but i wish I had, because as soon as I did start playing and collecting for it, it quickly became one of my favorite consoles ever! Thanks for watching.
Bought my TurboGrafx-16 not long after it’s released and I still have it CIB. I also bought the TurboExpress followed by the TurboDuo both of which I still have. I have a decent game collection including a few of my favorites Bonks Adv, Beyond Shadowgate, Vasteel, Air Zonk, Legendary Axe, Shockman, Bomberman 94 (PCE), Dracula X Rondo of Blood (PCE), Street Fighter II CE (PCE) & Gate of Thunder. Vasteel being my absolute favorite especially with 2 players. Very unfortunate NEC (back then) dropped the ball by not porting over more PC Engine games to North America because there were so many wonderful games left in Japan that would have made a huge difference in the “16-Bit Wars”
Man, you were lucky! That is a really awesome collection. I wish we would have got more over here, for sure... It definitely would have made it a better competitor, along with them needing much better advertising. Thanks for watching, and stay rad!
Got to say Aero Blasters is my favorite. Long ago there was a movie theater near my house that had the arcade version, and they had a High score prize. get the high score and get a free movie pass. My dad saw that I was good at the game but I needed more practice. So he got me the TG 16 card and I played the game a lot. Eventually, we went back to the theater and one summer we got to watch 2 movies a week for a dollar. Management started to notice and suddenly that machine was "broken" and eventually the high score movie reward was taken down. Man it was fun while it lasted.
@@nintenjoel The Cab was some generic Wall mount cab with Zero art on it. Yea it was a great time. He saw what I could do and decided to reward my efforts. Still have the copy he bought me.
Yes Joel, my collection went crazy last year it's all I bought for, before the games got anymore expensive, I didn't do to bad price wise, got some big hitters at reasonable prices in bulk. The only game eluding me now is Bloody Wolf, but I can borrow that off a mate.
Awesome collection! A bunch of consoles, especially that handheld! This is a system I've never owned but always been curious about! It's too expensive now for me to collect for it so I'll vicariously through your collection 🤣! Great video and keep up the good work!
I'm still so mad at myself for missing out on the TG16 mini. sigh. Maybe one day. As for collecting for the actual system... Do what I do. One game at a time. Thanks for watching!
Batman is amazing, Castle of Illusion was pretty awesome too... But Robocop was kinda meh. But I see what you mean... I love those old sidescrolling action games from the past.
Everyone sh*@ts on Final Lap Twin. But I loved it as a kid. Racing + RPG? Had lots of fun with it. Same w Dungeon Explorer. If you had a multi tap and a few friends, it was a great Gauntlet RPG for co-op.
Nice vid Joel! I always like hearing the word plethora used. In high school I had that come up as a vocabulary word, and using it in a sentence I said, "Eric has a plethora of porn." 😆🤣
Im confused on This System I know it was known as PC Engine in Japan and Turbo Graphics here. Im trying to find out how many USA releases there are but get mixed numbers. They say theres about 670 Games but I just want the USA versions.
I have an original Turboexpress from when I was a kid. Kept in immaculate condition, I wiped it down after every use and kept in a case. It needs to be recapped. Do you know anyone reliable I might send it to?
I just got mine fixed by a local friend and he had to install a new board. If you are on facebook, definitely hit up the turbografx groups... there are a couple well known dudes that fix that stuff that have very good recommendations. Really cool that you still have that!!!
@@nintenjoel Thanks man, I never think of Facebook groups. Most of my old game stuff was destroyed in a storm that swept the garage at my parents house, but I had stowed the TG-16 stuff in a closet in my old bedroom. 25 years later I brought it home with me and the game boxes are all still crisp, clean cardboard. Something about the color palette of those games screams late-80's early 90's like no other system. Will check out those groups!
FB groups are the only reason facebook is even relevant anymore... Just find your niche and go for it. Man, I am ultra jelly of your boxed games... I have a whopping THREE... They are so damn rare. One day I may try for more boxed games. The art absolutely rules, in the weirdest way possible. Pure nostalgia for the 80s/90s.

I am actually a little jealous you got a mini, as I barely missed out on that. Glad I have so much of the OG hardware. Devil's Crush absolutely rules.

What an awesome, yet tragic story! Man, can you imagine finding an intact Aero Blasters now?! Also, your dad sounds like an amazing dad!

Hell yeah, that is awesome.
You have a very nice collection! This is by far my most favorite console!
Definitely one of my favorite consoles, as well. It just FEELS different from everything else at the time, and there were some GREAT games.

Wait... You have all the TG16 games except Bloody Wolf? That is crazy, if so. Thanks for watching!
@@nintenjoel No mate, all the ones I wanted except that, in total 29, if I get Bloody Wolf I'll have 30, might get Atomic Robot-Kid to (Not sure yet)
Ohhhh I see. Yeah I need Bloody Wolf too.

Just gotta get a console and hope for the best haha. It took me years to build that collection and I'm glad I did! Thanks for watching, Danb!!!
I do have a TG-16, but the only game I have for it is Keith Courage. I also have the Mini that Konami released a couple years ago I think it was.

I wish they had more western style games like RoboCop, Batman and Castle of illusion.

@@nintenjoel Have you heard of the Amstrad GX 4000. Those the games that should have been on the TurboGrafx16.
great collection man. I like the TG16 but it's so hard to get games now a days
Yeah, I only get to add one or two games to my collection every year or two. Hard to find and ridiculously expensive. Thanks for watching duuuuuuude.
Just get the Japan Versions. Very affordable.
Amazing collection Joel!😍
Thanks, Mark... I appreciate you checking it out!

Final Lap Twin rules, despite its difficulty. I'll bet Dungeon Explorer is fun with multiple people!
Great library dude!
Thanks! Glad you think so!
