Guys , i am from Greece and i support this team so many years. I hear often the matches to radio online and for the first time in my life i watched the team last year in tv streaming. Thanks to football manager i have been a big fan of this team since 90's. I have bought 2 scarfs and a mug recently. Next time i'll bought the home jersey. I have a dream, someday to go at the Deva Stadium and watch a game with our supporters. Greetings from Greece guys. I am Cestrian forever and Panathinaikos of course!🙂
That is fantastic to hear, I absolutely love that that you support Chester because of the god game itself Football Manager. I have a following of Paris FC for same reason. I hope you get to watch your team Chester one day and rock up to the Deva Stadium. This is a top comment as it shows what FM can do to a person as you catch feelings, must have been some save? Beautiful footage and good editing. Thoroughly that vlog, good luck to Chester I hope they return to the Football League one day. So many former football league sides littered in non-league.
Interesting facts today about Chester FC. Strange place where their ground is though is like you say is very unique. Enjoyed that lads and well done for a super vlog on a bloody hot day.
Hello, folks! I was actually a steward here on the Swettenham Chemists (West) Stand; if you saw a tall-ish, bearded man with dark hair in a trilby and high-viz in the corner nearest you, that was me! ;) Not only that, I’ve paid the princely sum of 2000 ... pence yesterday to become a member of City Fans United, meaning I’m co-owner of the club, something I invite as many people as possible to consider. I’m pleased you enjoyed the game and, hopefully, let’s see each other around! COYS :D
@@jsgcfootball On the stand next to the Harry Mac, yeah, where you were. It’s just an annual membership; we don’t have shares as such, but we contribute to the running of the club and help decide what our shirts are going to look like and so on. The club is 100% fan-owned. Thank you very much, guys, and here’s hoping too! I’m off to Hartlepool for our FA Cup qualifier on Saturday, as it happens ─ looking forward to it! Thanks again for joining us :D
@@RJohnLloyd I remember you, you must be the coolest steward I have seen so chill. That is awesome to hear that the fans get a say in the club. Enjoy your trip to hartlepool. No problem we enjoyed our day in Chester :D
Thanks for the guide! I'm coming over from the States and going to Liverpool/Sheffield United on 4/3, and I'm debating between Chester, Crewe, or Southport for a lower league game on 4/1. Chester really intrigues me!
It’s a unique one but Crewe is better for location. Only trouble with Chester being far from the city centre. But enjoy the game if you do go as it is decent.
I appreciate the response! Thing is I'll basically have that whole day to do whatever, so renting a car and going to Chester and even a side trip to Wrexham, enjoying the countryside, and then back is also possible. I'm actually going to the Wrexham game in Doncaster the following day, too! Alternatively, trains from Liverpool-Crewe-Wrexham-back to Liverpool also seem like a possibility. I'm torn! Haha
Great video lads, enjoyed the content and well done for mentioning the infamous old Megabowl from days gone by. Really enjoyed the drone footage, you captured the stadium in all its glory 😊 What drone did you use for the shots? It’s really clear and steady!
Thanks, really appreciate that. The shots are amazing! If you guys are looking for another decent random away day then I’d recommend Holywell Town FC. They play at the Achieve More stadium and they are 15 mins away from Chester. They’re currently top of the Cymru North and playing some great stuff
An honour to do it with you bro. Onto 2K subscribers now for the Football channel. Chester was a great day out and I wish them every success in the future. Still can’t get my head over they play in a different country 😂 is Chester better than Wrexham as an away day?
I’d have to try as an away day, I think around the ground Wrexham takes my fancy more with more options. I do love Chester as a city though. Onto 2k and thanks for hopping on once more bro
Not far from MCFC as the crow flies, are a number of Non-,League clubs, in an area steeped with Non-League history. Hyde United's Ewen Fields is well-appointed, Stalybridge Celtic is palacial probably compared to Chester's place. I only went to Sealand Road once and Wigan Athletic's old ground at Springfield Park. They both had a huge embanked terrace behind one goal. Fans make the atmosphere but the new ground looks like many modular grounds made of breezeblock and marked only by the team-coloured seats on some trading-estate. Stalybridge Bower Fold will surprise you, not least the slope. I like Blackpool Mechanics, Blackpool Wren Rovers and Squires Gate as I am sure you do. Each with it's own feeling. I have not been to all League or Non-League grounds by some distance. However, if you like your tucker, Burscough is as good as it gets. Better than most Non-League grounds and in my honest opinion, some League grounds. If you have a deep sleep and dream of a typical Non-League ground, chances are, you're looking at Bacup Borough! If you want drone footage, you're best on a sunlit afterrnoon at grounds. However, for atmosphere, evening games are usually the best, especially if it's raining. This is especially true of Bacup Borough. It was the only ground, Non-League or League, where "Home-made Broth" was being served! If Alice In Wonderland was a soccer fan she'd support Bacup Borough! For your first trip, choose a day of good weather and go for an afternoon match. You won't be disappointed. It's on the top of a hill and the views excellent. It's probably as unlike MCFC you can reasonably get. Happy watching!
Thank you for watching. I know what you mean with the stadiums, lacking a certain characteristic about them. I still like it is majorly in Wales 🏴. Makes it unique in that regard. I like stadiums that are traditional and in the centre. Actually covered AFC Blackpool (Blackpool mechanics) two years ago and as you say in very close proximity you have wren rovers and squires gate. I think Maine Road would be interesting as they links to your club Man City. I am fascinated now about Burscough and Bacup Borough. Looking for contenders for tier 10, 9, 7 and 5 to catch non-league games. Have a nice day. Aaron
