    They built that in FOUR YEARS?!? These days for a project like that after four years the court battles and approvals wouldn't even be finished. That's NOT progress.
    There is a section of the Turnpike near Breezewood that was abandoned in the 60's when the two tunnels were bypassed. It's a fascinating place to visit and it's shocking how narrow and close together the sides of the highway are compared to modern ones. (the tunnels are also REALLY dark!).
