Donald Bitterman 😊👍 few questions? 1. The logic behind powerwall is that it’s wall mounted. Saving floor space is important in my tool shed. Prismatic cells are more like shelves type battery bank. 2. Most of the cells (from used laptop batteries) has sticky white glue on its original wrap and some were already teared apart plus.. it looks cool with one uniform color wrap. 3. When bank is imbalance, the pack with lowest voltage will trigger the cut off via bms first, thus result into system shutdown. All the rest of the capacity from the other packs become useless. During charging, the pack with the highest voltage will trigger the on and off sequence via bms which cause delay for the entire bank to become fully charged. 4. I simply sized my battery bank to last 10 hours with a 1KW load or 100 hours with 100 watts of load. That simple. 5A. I’m not sure what you meant by grid tied system., but my inverter is only capable of importing AC (as battery bank charger) not exporting. I need AC charging during winter here in the north. Sometimes there could be weeks or even months without sun light at all. It’s just dark clouds, foggy and mostly raining. As the famous serie says, “Winter is coming” - GOT 5B. Yes, charging it on night time is cheaper, then I can use the power on day time when per KW rate is more expensive. I do hope these replies give justice to your questions. @@JFLegaspi Great responses! I'm doing a 18650 build, but the only reason I'm going that route is the cells are free, but somewhat limited in quantity. I have ~800 cells so far and about 1/4 through capacity testing. I am planning on getting the electrodacus BMS and charge controller (should be available next month). I should do videos of this, it may be fun! Grid Tie is when the inverter is set to export power to the grid and the utility credits the power to your account. It sounds like you have a Time of Use rate plan. It is tiered here so it does not matter when the power is used, only who much and as you use more you graduate into higher rate tiers. That's why I was confused about charging at night.

Ibig sabihin mas mura sya sa brand new na 32650 kasi may cost difference na talaga dun. 40 PHP ang Sony 18650 3000 mAh tapos 100 PHP ang 32650 na 4.9 mAh kasi nag test na ako ng actual versus advertised/claim capacity nya. Siguro sa channel ko share yung finding na yun.

About 11,200 PHP yung cost including the LifePo4 screws. Sabihin nyo mga 15K PHP kung pati yung tabbing wires at Kapton tapes.

Having a lot of cells in parallel can cause uneven charging and discharging of individual cells due to the resistance of the wires that connect each cell. It depends on the connections. The cells that are closest to the terminal will supply most of the load current. The cells that are in the middle (which is the farthest to the terminal) will contribute the least amount.
Good day to you. You are absolutely right, but that is, if you put both the positive and negative busbar terminal lug on the same side instead of both ends. 😊👍 Hindi naman dahil ang bawat cell ay naka fuse wire at bawat pack ay may voltage monitor. Kapag may isa o dalawang pack na wala na sa balanse at medyo may kalayuan ang agwat ng boltahe kesa iba, binababa kaagad for maintenance at madaling makita kung anong cell ang bumigay dahil sa fuse na bumigay. arsenio egoy torogi guinat That’s a good question. Ang PWM SCC for deep cycle lead acid battery ay hindi compatible sa lithium ion. Ang max voltage ng lithium ion sa 3S configuration (12V system) ay nasa 12.6V lang at sa 4S configuration naman ay nasa 16.8V samantalang, kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay ang pwm scc ay nasa 14.6V ang max at 13.6V naman ang float charging. Kailangan mo ng scc na may user define setting ang minimum at maximum voltage. Lithium ion compatible SCC. Sana nasagot ko ang tanong mo. 😊👍 God bless. 🙏
Maraming brand yan iba iba, may nabibili online. Karamihan sa mga eto ay hybrid inverter at SCC na may nakalagay “supports lithium battery”, ibig sabihin compatible sa lithium ion.

May video akong ginawa tungkol dito, at kung tutuusin, kahit magkahiwalay ng wiring ng bms at active balancer, pareho lang etong naka parallel. Good day Jong. 24V lang, garden tool shed kasi yan. Supposedly 48V ang intention ko kaya 14 packs, pero since ang available na inverter (during that time kalakasan ng covid) ay 24V lang, yon na din ang aking ginamit. Walang anuman. 😊👍

Solar africa inverter 500 watts gamit ko. Chenik ko yong battery ko kanina yong apat na pack, dalawang pack oky naman, piro yong dalawang pack may voltage naman sya 4 volt mababa lang yong meli-apers ng battery.

Para makasigurado ka ay gawin mong 4S ang configuration ng battery bank. Kasi ang 4S ay 16.8V ang max. Sa tingin ko ang UPS charging voltage ay nasa 13.6V pero hindi ako sigurado, maaring mali ako. Safe kas sa 4S kesa 3S.

Isa sa trabaho ng BMS ay ang protection sa over current. Kung 100A ang BMS at hinugutan ng more than 100A ang battery bank, shutdown ang BMS para hindi masira ang battery. So kung 50Ah ang battery capcity in 1C, 50A lang ang max na current neto. Kung gagamitan ng 100A, walang over current protection.

Just recently may nabili akong 7php per cell, 1200 cells, neto at last week naman ay 4000 cell for 5php per cell.

Ilang 18650 battery po ang kailangan para mabuo ang 100AH na battery wall? 25 php po kada isang battery. Tapos kung gagawa ako ng 200 AH na battery wall para magi g 24volts in series, ilang Amp po ng bms ang kailangan ko.?
Ang powerwall na yan ay may 1400 cells. Ang configuration ay 24V 7S 100P x 2 Battery bank.

arsenio egoy torogi guinat That’s a good question. Ang PWM SCC for deep cycle lead acid battery ay hindi compatible sa lithium ion. Ang max voltage ng lithium ion sa 3S configuration (12V system) ay nasa 12.6V lang at sa 4S configuration naman ay nasa 16.8V samantalang, kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay ang pwm scc ay nasa 14.6V ang max at 13.6V naman ang float charging. Kailangan mo ng scc na may user define setting ang minimum at maximum voltage. Lithium ion compatible SCC.

May video akong ginawa tungkol dito, at kung tutuusin, kahit magkahiwalay ng wiring ng bms at active balancer, pareho lang etong naka parallel. Solar africa inverter 500 watts gamit ko. Chenik ko yong battery ko kanina yong apat na pack, dalawang pack oky naman, piro yong dalawang pack may voltage naman sya 4 volt mababa lang yong meli-apers ng battery.
Ah, so na find out mo na kung bakit. Isa sa mga batt pack ay medyo mababa ang capacity kesa iba at yon ang nagti-trigger ng cut-off. Tama ba? 😊

Sir may 3s 30p po ako.Wala po akong inverter pero may back up ups po ako kaya yun nalang po yung ginawa kung pamalit sa inverter kinabit ko nalang yung battery pack ko sa ups. Yung dating battery po ng ups ko lead acid po. Pwede ko po bang icharge yung battery pack ko gamit yung mismong ups?

Para makasigurado ka ay gawin mong 4S ang configuration ng battery bank. Kasi ang 4S ay 16.8V ang max. Sa tingin ko ang UPS charging voltage ay nasa 13.6V pero hindi ako sigurado, maaring mali ako. Safe kas sa 4S kesa 3S.

Hello po sir. Ask lang po, about po sa bms na 100amps s4 po gagamitin ko, pwede po ba siya any ah na battery capacity?
Isa sa trabaho ng BMS ay ang protection sa over current. Kung 100A ang BMS at hinugutan ng more than 100A ang battery bank, shutdown ang BMS para hindi masira ang battery. So kung 50Ah ang battery capcity in 1C, 50A lang ang max na current neto. Kung gagamitan ng 100A, walang over current protection.
