Based on true historical facts.
During the years 1917-1922, the Greeks of Pontus, in defense of human life and their dignity, climbed the mountains with self-denial and self-sacrifice. They formed Partisans groups to save their families and homes from the violence, persecution and methods of extermination of the Turks. Methods that the human mind cannot comprehend.
About 30 people participated, under the guidance of President Sofia Savvidou.
Directed by Mr. Leonidas Perntetzis

But if you ask how Lydians, Galatians turned into Greek pretenders, it was due to nothing less then Turkification of Anatolia. So no modern nation has more or less to be blamed for. Greekified Anatolia Turkified that is it. Same location, same process, different ethnicities, religion and branding. That is it. Greeks today are not after ending Kuran, they are after retaking Anatolia to regreekify it. And again, this has nothing to do with Kuran. It is about land. It is about the ownership of the old pr*stitute we call Anatolia. Go ask golden dawners around you, they will back me. Even I myself is ok for regreefikation as long as me and my daughter Ida (yep out of love and respect of Greeks I named her Ida) are spared, not genocided, and given proper free government Greek classes. That is how Anatolians survived for millenias. If you go to Pontus today you will see the same folk dances are played with the same instruments, even the language is continued, people just told we are Muslim, we are Turks. That is it. Hi from Germany! My father is originally from Trabzon (sürmene - sourmena). He doesn‘t know anything about his past or family background. He considers himself turkish because they were never taught anything else. He does not know any romaika but we use rum-words everyday! Especially when we talk about animals, fruits, vegetables etc.
My mother is originally from Samsun.

Well the truth is, as soon as the Ottoman State lost WW1, the Pontic Greek minority revolted against the Turks along with their Armenian friends. That was of course a futile and an untolerable uprising effort against the Ottoman State and the Turkish majority of the population and consequently was crushed heavy handedly by the local militia captain Topal Osman Aga and his like. Thus, you could say this was an expected reaction from a nation who felt that the moment they faltered they were immediately betrayed by their very christian neighbors. So there’s the other side of the coin untold here. Sad but true.

Why not in the centuries preceding that time? For millennia, no significant and ongoing crimes were documented in this area or in any of the surrounding empires.

As stated in the Ottoman constitution, every Muslim and non-Muslim citizen who had ideal conditions in terms of age and health was obliged to do military service. When it was seen that the war was approaching, the recruitment of soldiers was accelerated. In this process, some Greek youth who did not want to join the army fled to Greece. Those who accepted to join the military, on the other hand, started banditry by escaping from the military with their uniforms and embezzled weapons after their military training was over. That's why when you look at the photos of the bandits, most of them have Turkish soldier uniforms and Turkish rifles. When the General Staff saw that non-Muslims were not reliable for military service, it decided to send them to labor battalions and engineering units.
Because they didn't want to fight against their own people and take part in the genocides that the Turkish army did. That's why you tried to slowly exterminate them through those "Labor" battalions without giving them food, medicines and force them to work till exhaustion.

Weapons training and necessary information were given to those who were recruited. When the training process was over, some Armenians and Greeks who received this training preferred to flee rather than go to the region where they were assigned. They returned home with their weapons and uniforms.
