He made great points. How can we cry when Nipsey dies but continue supporting music that promotes the lifestyle that killed him?
I knew that I'd be part of the minority by choosing to not glorify death and negativity in my music. HipHop can be used to uplift, educate, and empower, so why do we use it to celebrate destruction? I refuse to use my gift to mislead the youth. Let's get back to making art.💪🏾💯👑

Anything that isn't gospel music is considered to be devil music back in the day.. that means r&b & jazz... You have violence before hip-hop. Gangsta rap is not hip-hop... Dee is too young to know what he's talking abt. Instead of going to the root which are the Chinese & Jews who fund hip-hop he's picking soft targets that's a knee jerk reaction for blk ppl.. point the finger at the artist but not their environment... Yikes!

      @@pay_it_forward_franklin4469 that’s all semantics.
We know what he means and besides the point will still stand because hip-hop is the culture rap is one of its art forms. The issue is present in both & he already covered it by saying ONLY celebrating the finer aspects whilst refusing to acknowledge and address the evil aspects of hip hop is problematic

@@jessejkulchacunningham5062 "semantics?" Hey he illustrated & exemplified an oxymoron that everyone, especially the (Y)yung & (I)impressionable may not presently-parallel the encompassing-convergence that's not 2 sides of the same-coin of Kulture. The 5 Elements as 1 i.e. 1 Spirit is the Foundational-Origin of the Kulture, and Hip-Hop as 1 i.e. 1 Soul is the Foundational-Origin of the Freedom. Rap on the other-hand is everything opposite of the former; prior this sentence.
The part you are calling 'rap' inside of the 5 Elements is Emcee. Inside of Hip-Hop Kulture, Rap may be exhibited as a figurative-metaphor for what an Emcee does, but there is no Emcee in Rap; only performers of entertainment, which could be anyone, and is for hire. The rap-side of the game is what he is talking-about; all etc. void of Kulture & Freedom.
      Hip-Hop: Kulture-Freedom, 360°, Origin of Elements 0, Cypher i.e. God, Gij,j=0
rap: corporate performance-entertainers for hire minus Hip-Hop, plants, npcs, decoration, etc.

Many of our people still have them Willie Lynch chips implanted and have no intent on changing because to them ignorance is bliss and that poison is the soundtrack to who someone outside of our community owns the rights to and will continue to create platforms for it to be distributed and created for .

My favorite Mc’s/Rappers are the ‘Human MC’s/Rapper’s’. They make art about any and ery aspect of life, good bad ugly. They rap about God in a positive and show that they care about their people through their art.
‘Character Rappers’ have a role and they create art that fits that role. They don’t rap about God in a positive light and they don’t show that they care about there ppl through there art.
