Born & Raised on GM (Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac Chevrolet) but I have to say this….. MOPAR really was the KING at the Racetracks across America in the early to late 1960’s! WOW 🤩 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The hemi was a sledgehammer at many a track!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting, bk14nyc. Please check out my other videos of things just a little unusual in the automotive world.
I’m 76 this is the fastest big car I’ve ever seen. Yeah I had my 57 Chevy with two fours and a 66 GTO. I was at Goodies speed shop and I watched one of these just Jump across the street - I will never forget that kind of power. Back then I was caught 7 times driving on a revoked license. I just could not handle any car - Insane but Fun. I’m on my third Dodge van now and alive. Life is beyond Good.
Wow, you have owned and experienced the pinnacle of power of the classic muscle age!! These were low end torque monsters!!!!!! Muscle cars of yore were gobs of power with marginal brakes and basic suspension. Add the insane world of youth, and you get the recipe for suspended license... over and over again!! Glad you are still here, Cecil. Enjoy your Dodge van!! You might enjoy this video: studio.th-cam.com/users/videoyPWl0ral7wc/edit?o=U
Wowie Pam...you've treated us to very some incredible cars but this rare, original, low mileage, killer sleeper Mpoar - right down to its original hubcaps - may be top of the list for me. I don't say that lightly given your extensive portfolio but golly molly this one's special. Thank you, I'm taking my time with this one, a multi-view video 👍👍👍👍
You spotted one of the weak spots of the classic muscle car era, Lj ! The other, major, flaw was the drum brakes. Thanks for watching and commenting, Lj.
Now this is insane! I can't even imagine what it's like to own that beauty. I'd definitely be stockpiling extra parts for it though because there's no way I would be able to keep myself from taking it down the drag strip a couple times just to see how fast I could make it run in stock configuration.
Hi Pamela,,Ha,, it's not a coffee table, gotta have fun with it Ha,,so funny and True,,, super cool headers,, can't be a lot of those laying around, Pamela, queen of the amazing finds, yeah buddy,,only thing I wish he had fired that bad boy up, woulda been epic, gnite Pamela from your#1 fan Glen
Next time, Glen!!!! That has to have a cool exhaust note!!! Al said he has been looking for years and knew of this set but the guy did not want to sell... until he finally put them on ebay.
I hope a least a few of those 18K miles were spent on a drag strip despite the bias ply. And that's absolutely the first time I've seen headers like that on a street MOPAR. Damn cool. Your buddy MOPAR Dave gotta love that car.
I don't think FB is the place the sell this rare muscle car. We shall see..... Thanks for the heads up! Here is the listing: facebook.com/marketplace/item/6776529249132200/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Aabc40300-d38b-4514-b134-cee63af9758a
I know!!! I caught a poor video of Al driving past the yard. Unfortunately, it was so bad I could not include it at the end. He did not show off, it was just a nice burrrble....
Hi again Pamela,, hey what say, first one to find the spark plugs and change them wins 100$ Ha and LoL 😂😆 mission impossible fer sure, later gater, Glen
I'm a Mopar guy and I love the Max Wedge, but those TriY headers are rather hideous looking but they sure got the job done. The advertisement back then called the new 426 Max Wedge the "Orange Monster". How cool was that!

I'm am so glad you are as excited as I was to meet up with Al and this mad MOPAR time capsule. !!!!
What a cool video of a very special piece of automotive history! I do wonder about getting that power to the ground with those tires lol.

That’s what makes it so FUN 🤩 and it also looks GREAT 👍

There was a teacher in my Tech school in Upper Moreland names Don Owens who was revealed in the molar world
Nice to have legends teaching the next generation. You may like this interview with Larry Lombardo: th-cam.com/video/YST1Aj1eQzk/w-d-xo.html
Really cool!
Thanks Red 13!! This was a bit or obscure, MOPAR muscle, history! Please check out my other videos. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Don Owens built the engine in Tommy Marotta’s Pink Panther
That says a lot!!!
This engine from the factory was a $445.00 option over the standard slant 6
so cool!
Thanks vrm!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!! Please check out more, a little unusual, cars on my channel.

never seen that style manifolds
They are extremely rare!!! That's why I had to feature them!! I love the unusual!
Ain't no slant six in this Dodge! Gets you to work or church on time. I like the hardtop body more than the 2 Dr post.
The slant and the Max wedge share the basic starter motor and alternator!! This is one, get up and go, MOPAR!!!!!!
end of 2023 and this car is for sale on facebook marketplace. $155,000
I don't think FB is the place the sell this rare muscle car. We shall see..... Thanks for the heads up! Here is the listing: facebook.com/marketplace/item/6776529249132200/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Aabc40300-d38b-4514-b134-cee63af9758a
are those factory exhaust manifolds
Yes they where optional from the factory!!!!!!! They are VERY rare and not original to this car, though.
It's a sin you didn't show it running lol

No worries, Glen!! Either lift the engine, cut the aprons or go the the Helen Keller School of Mechanics!!!!
Don what's worse changing plugs on this or a 69 or 70 Boss 429? Mechanics nightmare!
@@davemcguigan218 both,, 😆😂

Big, ugly, and extra muscle....who would argue about that!!!! Thanks for watching, lonnyjaw! Please watch my other, cool car, videos.
So how much did this car cost in 1964?
I do not know off hand, I will have to do some research when I get home. I'm at Amelia Island. Stay tuned.....
I think they off set the engines to the right to clear the steering b on those cars .
You are correct sir
Great bit of trivia, Stewart!! Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the correlation, Glen!! You are Numero Uno!!
@@carshowreporter Hi Pamela, don't have anything to add to that, just wanted to say Hi Pamela, Glen 😎
