@@bradleyborrowman2115it would look sick but the idea was for this to be a restomod style build so it has more power and there are minor changes from stock but still looks like a stock car
I agree, perhaps more car projects. Maybe some specialty vehicles for service at the resort, people and equipment carriers in the muscle car or ranch stang style.
My all time dream car. Growing up my dad told me stories of driving and racing early Camaros and I’ve always wanted one since. Thanks for making us part of this project!
Brandon is the freaking man! His work is beautiful and the people he employees are obviously top tier artists. I can only imagine what it costs to have a car rebuilt in such a short time. I love the look of this car.
In the early 70's, a friend of mine put his 68 Camaro up for sale. It was green with a Hurst shifter. I wanted that car so badly. He brought it to my parents house and I tried to talk my parents into it, to no avail. That car was badass and I've always wanted one. So, I'm loving this series.
Looking at that car makes my heart feel so good. I'm proud of you for keeping it (mostly) stock from the factory. I was always a Mustang fan but this car came in a close second to it.
Love chevy Camaros. Build is definitely coming along. Love the content and who ever edits these videos is a beast. Can't wait to see the completion and pops reaction.
I had a 69 Camaro that I got when I was 17. It had a 3 speed manual transmission, a double pump Holley carb and an Edelbrock high rise manifold, headers with header mufflers, Cooper Cobra tires and was painted a 1970’s Ford Blue, which was a dark midnight blue color. The 60’s Camaros were my dream car since I was 6 years old. 67 is my favorite because it has the wing windows. I wish I had just parked my 69 at my mom’s house back in the day versus selling it. I was just a young unstable buck when I had gotten rid of it.
68 Camaro is my favorite muscle car. I had two of them at one time, I didn't have the knowledge and tools to finish them so I sold them. Some day I'll have another one!
Seeing David pound Brandon's fist feel so great 3:27 Brandon seems to be a wonderful person and friend, a man whom you get along with from the first meet ☺️
This is so awesome Matt...I love 68 Camaros...there was an older kid at my school that had a matte black 68 Camaro that he painted the Bat Signal on back in the 80's and I've been in love with those cars ever since
Hi Matt, my husband was a master mechanic and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. Whenever I said “motor or engine” incorrectly I heard about it. Engine is used to refer to an internal power source ie: gas or diesel. Motor is used to refer to an external power source ie: electricity. I think this is a “kick the dog” response (on my part) to your referencing motor and engine the way I used to. I was chastised unmercifully for awhile. (Slow learner😅). Hugs from sunny Arizona 💖😎💖😅
Beautiful car. I really love to see the old Hot Rods modernized. I'm fairly certain Brandon's shop has a motto of "If the customer is paying, We'll do it!"
Matt, a suggestion from a former Big Block Camaro owner. Look at the Rally wheel in 17". It will look very factory and still allow an excellent tire selection. Please don't go all ghetto with stupid 22" inch wheels, they look like crap on older cars. Alos, lose the 4 speed and put in a 5 speed with OD. You are already well into resto mod territory and once you hit the highway, that 5th gear will be sweet, unless you actually like doing 60MPH at 3400 RPM.
Absolutely gorgeous! She sounds awesome, seems to go great and looks fantastic! I'm a little surprised I really like the look with the black steel wheels and just the white writing on the tyres for a bit of contrast. If your dad doesn't want to take it off you, he aint human!
thats the way a car should sound, its a thing of beauty, definitely what you should have done with the barracuda. Such a wonderful piece of automative art
Wow, what a beauty!, Love it! I had a 68 SS Camaro. Was one of my favorite cars. So disappointed though your tires don’t have chrome on them. Every 68 vehicle had chrome. I always think tires like these on a vintage vehicle, look like they’re missing hubcaps. Just my old 70’s gal viewpoint! ❤
Oh c'mon..I want to see Dr Lee's reaction!!! And thank you Matt for leaving this gorgeous, classic Camaro body as is!! You broke my heart when you Frankensteined that Cuda. 💔
I know you already ordered different wheels. But those stealies are so freaking Hot rod. I love them so much. Stealies with white letter tires are probably my favorite hot rod look.
Matt and Brandon are the best! Oh I can't wait till I see you surprise your dad... I wonder if he will hand over the title to you, if not like you said, you'll end up getting it sometime!
I cried watching this.. my step dad had one also green back in 1973. I wanted that car when I got older and was told it would be mine. My uncle who did not like my step dad threw a couple of flares in it and burnt it, along with the dream of it becoming mine.
That is FREAKING AWESOME!!! And Muscle Rod shop, you are SPECTACURLER mechanics!! Very impressed and stunned. Can't wait to see your Dad's reaction. It's going to be MEMORABLE... 😳
That sounds SO GOOD! They really did a sweet job putting her back together. Like the rearview mirror attachment :) Hope you dad knows what it is when he sees it. Matt can you tell Brandon to get back into making vid of the shop LOL
Love Dr. Lee, love his channel and can’t wait for him to see this bad boy brought back to life!! Note to self: start project car with my ten year old so he can give it to me one day totally done
Matt...Glad You Got The Comaro Back...And Even with Brandon Being Around The Shop...I Was Almost Perswaded To Take My Business There...Thank You and Lee...For Showing Me Better.!!!
Matt: Can we wide body it?
Brandon: No, we're not gonna do that, but the engine sounds great.
🤣😂🤣😂
I think it’d look sick wide bodied 🤷🏻
@@bradleyborrowman2115it would look sick but the idea was for this to be a restomod style build so it has more power and there are minor changes from stock but still looks like a stock car
Years ago in hot rod a man named Lucas Tanner built a real wide body Camaro and it was sweet.
had me rolling xD
Brandon at Muscle Rod is like Matt’s big brother trying to talk Matt out off poor financial decisions lol
While benefiting from his poor financial decisions
Or at the same time not wanting another crazy project to deal with
@jeffh4505 if anyone deserves that benefit it's definitely the person trying to talk him out of it.
@@schneekitsune1475 that's the "I don't want this job" quote

Can we get Brandon in more videos??? The friendship chemistry and banter is awesome!!!!
I agree, perhaps more car projects. Maybe some specialty vehicles for service at the resort, people and equipment carriers in the muscle car or ranch stang style.
Absolutely love this car. I think this has been my fav car you’ve done. The sentimental value makes it so much better.
I enjoy the brother dynamic between Matt and Brandon. Very genuine and so much fun to watch, hope Brandon starts posting vids again soon!
The original broken part hanging from the rear view mirror is classic!
Till it swings and cracks the front windshield
My all time dream car. Growing up my dad told me stories of driving and racing early Camaros and I’ve always wanted one since. Thanks for making us part of this project!

4.3 million viewers and free advertising is worth every cent.
Ps what can they do with a Mitsi L300 van? Lol
Pretty fast when the long tedious work is body and paint, which they didn't have to do
I can’t wait to see his dads reaction. Give us part 5 right now, Matt!

It's good to see somebody so young that knows how to tune a carb!
Wow, Brandon and muscle rods work ethic is incredible. They rebuilt this car in less than a week
Have you not been paying attention. It took a month. Which is still amazing, but it's not a week
@@bigdaveowens76 I know, that’s the joke
Remember the show Chip Foose they full restoration from a rusty hunk a junk to a dream machine in just a week
@@hemidart7 no theu didn't. They just filmed it that way.
a week of youtube time lol
I am soooo looking forward to seeing Dr. Lee's reaction when he first sees it!
Center caps and some beauty rings shes poppin!
That big block sounds sick , that’s my dream car , your dad is going to love it , thanks Matt for sharing it with us , Paul did a great job 👍
Has Mr. Brandon been in a Demolition Ranch video at the range?
He is hilarious!
Needs to bring an engine block and throw a few .50 cals at it
I agree, he's obviously good at what he does, and he's good at thinking on his feet.
Looking at that car makes my heart feel so good. I'm proud of you for keeping it (mostly) stock from the factory. I was always a Mustang fan but this car came in a close second to it.
This series of videos are awesome !!! I like the way we don't have to wait for the hole month to see them very cool idea.
Wouldn't it be something if on the way home, Matt is stopped at a red light & his dad pulls up in the next lane? 😂😂😂
Wana Race old man?!!
Love chevy Camaros. Build is definitely coming along. Love the content and who ever edits these videos is a beast. Can't wait to see the completion and pops reaction.
I got a huge smile on my face from that deep, angry growl when the pedal hit the metal!
But it will be so cool when every vehicle is electric……not.
man i cant wait to see matts dads reaction this was a cool journey
Looking forward to seeing your Dads excitement! Take care of yourself down there, Matt. I hear things are getting pretty wild..
Daily videos on a project like this is great. Keep it up, can’t wait to see your dads reaction!
I can't wait to see Dr. Lee's reaction! Well done guys!
That's sick! My dad had a camero like that! He passed away when I was young ! Someday, I want one like that! Great job!
Dropping a monster engine in it and keeping the drum brakes. I like it.
Fast cars are about going, not stopping. The drums are fine, I'm sure, probably.

Beautiful and great job. You are a great son. Love your connection with your dad and your family. I am sure he will love it. Be safe in that heat

I think he may be better of going with a Gear Vendors Overdrive.
@@Mark_Spivey - I disagree, the GV unit is stout, the newer Tremec kits are literal bolt-ins and according to Matt, this is just a cruiser.
