Yeah i had the same idea. Its more likely that he has a crown cuz he wants to be the king of madalore. And the whole armor anyways is more of a vader imitation than a mado one. Ofc its beskar for the better protection but he knew vader knew everyone feared him and he uses fear as a weapon well. he also has a full cape not a half cape like mando which is better if you use jetpacks
It’s a symbol of rank. Darth maul has nothing to do with it. Do you know what else has horns? The mythosoar. The most holy creature in mandalorian lore.
I think the "spies" are the mandos on the hover boat they picked up on mandalore, as the Armorer never notified Gideon that the mandalorians had united, which went against Gideon's plans. He does thank them for gathering all of the mandalorians there, but that was a sarcastic gesture.
I am more inclined to think if there is another spy it is the guy Bo Katan beat in the challenge (and who was fighting with Paz). He is the only one who is constantly saying nasty things about and to Din's group.
Spies Can Refer to Many People 1. Elia Kane is a spy for Moff Gideon. 2. The "Pirate" Mandalorians might be spies for Moff Gideon. 3. Brendol Hux is possibly a spy for Palpatine and an agent of the Sith Eternal considering his work in Project Necromancer (new leadership -> Snoke). 4. Axe Wolves might be a spy for Moff Gideon. 5. The Armorer might be a spy but it is unlikely in my opinion. 6. The Sith Eternal has spies in the Imperial Remnant because Sloane ended the remnant's loyalty to Palpatine following Gallius Rax's death. 7. The Praetorian Guards might be spies for Palpatine and keep watch on the Imperial Remnant's actions.
Did he not say he combined mandalorian tech and dark troopers? Also he made a distinct electric engine sound when moving, i suspect it either is just a exo skeleton or some kind of voluntary "darth vader" transformation but without the itching
What if the armourer is a female Zabrak that was a once a foundling. That would explain why she has horns on her helmet (they make room for her actual horns). She will eventually make a helmet for Djin Grogu with ears on it.
Why is no one suggesting Greef is a spy? He tried talking Din out of trying to get back with his people and as soon as they left Gideon's spy was notified. I got so many suspects lol.
He might be cloning Maul. He is running cloning project separate from project necromancer. His project required a force sensitive(Grogu) to work. And now he wears a helmet with Maul's horns on it.
You know, if Moff Gideon wanted to psychologically toy with Mando, Gideon could've taken Din's helmet off when he got captured. It still bugs me that he didn't
I would believe the horns on her helmet represents whoever she defeated, much like the rhino symbol on Din’s pauldron. Perhaps her first few enemies were Dathomirian. It’s also possible that she is a Dathomirian, herself, and is trying to atone for her sins by protecting the Mandalorians through her lifetime.
The Armorer is not a spy. If she were then Gideon would not have needed Elia Kane to give him that intel. And he was definitely suprised to hear it. That likely rules out any of the Night Owls too. But that doesn't rule out the ones on Mandalore who showed up with the ship. The 'sick' ones could have been used as a ploy to thin the scouting party or to get taken back to the fleet.
If the writing on this season had been better, I might agree with you, but I'll expect anything at this point. Plus the Armorer could be on Gideon's side and in deep cover or just unable to tell him the details, or Gideon could've been lying to keep his other sources out of the loop. There's ways around it.
The Armorer is implied to be part of death watch who half of which at one point followed Maul. It is my personal opinion that the Armorer is definitely from one of Maul's factions however I don't think she is the spy. She is too integrated into the Children of the Watch and basically caused most of his opposition by raising Din and instigating Bo. It makes much more sense for Axe or some other Mandalorian to be his spy.
I think the show is setting up the Armorer as a Red Herring. I can't tell who might be I have been suspicious of Bo Katan since her she joined Mando so quickly when her home was blown to pieces but that seemed genuine. I would be disappointed if the Armorer was the spy as it seems too obvious rather it be Bo Katan's brother.
Come to think of it, if the Children of the Watch mandos got bad intel on Bo-Katan, they might not know about Maul, but the armorer would. They would just think she put those horns on there for some other reason.
Another possible spy being the former ruler of the night owls (I forgot the name) before Bo came back. He clearly isn’t very fond of her and after he left to “get help” we never saw him for the rest of the episode.
It has to be the armorer. The reason she destroyed the beskar staff in season 2 was not because it poses a threat to mandalorian but it poses a threat to moff Gideon and his enforcers
Also, even before this season there were red flags here and there about The Armorer. I think the biggest was in The Book of Boba Fett, where she describes Bo-Katan as a cautionary tale. Basically, if you follow Bo-Katan, you get what you deserve. In other words, the people who died in the Purge had it coming.
I think the Armorer knows more and was with Death watch but she broke away. She is definitely withholding her past but it’s out of shame. The same way Bo-Kotan never told everyone how she lost the dark saber. I think the spies are the 3 randos that came out of nowhere asking for food and Axe.
Gideon can't fight the force though.. Go Grogu! I think Din saying "I didn't teach him that" is foreshadowing Grogu using what he learned from Luke to take down Gideon.
There are not horn but coms similar to radio or communication devices on the helmet. It more similar to mobile suits command type. (If people understand what I mean just type gundam and look for command type units.)
The Armorer is a red herring. Ax Woves was very quick to bail out and had an extremely easy time of escaping. The Armorer leaving as soon as she did is pretty legit and keep in mind she’s all of a sudden wanting to retake Mandalore. I very much doubt she’s willing to throw away her only chance of retaking the home world and giving it to Gideon. Ax Woves on the other hand does stand to benefit from betraying the Mandalorians more than anyone else. He doesn’t care for it much while everyone else does.
If Gideon isn't Mandalorian, I'll be confused. The horns are one thing but he has the "heart of Beskar" which is supposed to be a religious or sacred symbol to the Mandalorian culture. Did they retcon the "heart"? I remember this symbol was talked about a lot during those Clone Wars episodes on Mandalore. The shape was seen in other aspects of Mandalorian culture (decor and architecture)
Moff is isb in andor he has researched mandolorian tradition so long when he in isb after the purge he became moff now..he has research all mandalorian weapon and history and he is a mandalorian fans😂😂😂
No, I don't think he's a Mandalorian. He just knows a lot about their culture, and his usage of sacred symbols and traditional armor is meant as an insult to the Mandalorians. Remember how mad Din got when he saw Cobb Vanth wearing Boba's armor, even though he knew Cobb was a good guy? Imagine what goes in his mind when sees a person as awful as Gideon appropriating his culture like that.
Good analysis, Sir. Yes, this is intriguing. The fact that We still don't know what The Armorer's actual name is, is rather amazing, considering We've seen her in action for 3 Seasons (Mando and The Book Of Boba Fett). I don't believe she's a spy, because it goes against so much of her character, over 3 years. Yes, Moff Gideon's new armor is like the best aspects of the worlds of Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Death Watch, and Darth Maul. If Gideon ends up being a minor Force-sensitive, that'll put him in a class all his own. Without question, next week's Finale episode is going to be a doozy. May The Force Be With Us.
Prediction: Mando will be put through a mind-flare. "Ultron-->Vision" type scene with interruptions. Causing mando to become a villain (which explains the red mando helmet on the opening, which is not Gideos since it didn't have spikes). Gideon and his forces will retreat along with Mando in an exciting battle featuring the Mythosaur. The rest of the Mandalorians will rebuild Mandalore, and there will be a scene where Grogu uses the force to try to make mando remember his past, setting up Mando for season 4.
Spectacular episode....we are just wondering who has betrayed the Mandalorians...we may never know...Karga.... Armour....Woves....Din ...so much can be taken from this.gideon could be death watch from serving with darth maul....again great ep
wouldn't it be interesting if they brought back the beskar spear or something similar since it can pierce beskar...just thinking out loud (love the vid btw :D )
Anyway, the show has been drawing parallels between Elia Kane and The Armorer ever since s3e3 (The Convert). Elia Kane was suspiciously nice to Dr. Pershing. The Armorer was supiciously nice to Bo-Katan. Elia Kane gained the trust of Dr. Pershing. The Armorer gained the trust of Bo-Katan. Elia Kane tricked Dr. Pershing into going after something he wanted (to continue his scientific research). The Armorer tricked Bo-Katan into going after something she wanted (to redeem herself for her greatest failure - the loss of Mandalore). Then the trap shut, and Elia Kane exacted cruel revenge on Dr. Pershing - destroying the scientific knowledge he treasured in his mind. It's perfect psychological revenge upon him. Then the trap shut, and (The Armorer?) exacted cruel revenge on Bo-Katan - forcing her to witness again how she fails and leads her people to their deaths. That's perfect psychological revenge on Bo-Katan. If anyone thinks that this Armorer plotline has flown in out of left field ... look again. It was there all along.
In season one how did the armor survive in the sewers all by herself? I could see her making a deal with Moff Gideon to spare her life? It was a little silly that the Mandolorian glass pirates showed up right when the did ?
I honestly didn’t think this had to be explained, and then I remembered that most of the people watching this legitimately haven’t seen the clone wars and that’s crazy to me
Is the new way they get storm troopers unplaced like how they say they do it in the first order and could these new beskar armored troopers be actual mando lira a bit introducted the same way fin and all his storm trooper were
What if he’s clan Saxon? They were loyal to the Empire and his troopers armor looks suspiciously like Clan Saxon Imperial Super Commamdo armor, would explain Rook Kast being his ally as she was a clan Saxon ally and both were loyal to Maul before the Empire
could the armorer be a zabrak her self and need horns in the helm over her own? think not. think this is yet another step/point in how deverse the mandalorians went. the mandalorians have to stand behind some WAY new or old to unite once again.
Personally I can see it both ways 1) she volunteers to go to the surface and Bo katan states there’s be no comms with the fleet once they land. Armour could’ve knew this and volunteered to go to the surface to contact Gideon. Then left the surface using wounded as excuse and took the only method of reaching the fleet safely (the ship). 2) however she wasn’t the only survivor in season one, vizla Also survived and was more than likely by her side in the background doing tasks for they’re survival. Also the horns could be a story point about her past as deathwatch and she wears them to remind herself of her past mistakes or perhaps she takes pride in her loyalty to the madolorian combat ceremonies and recognised maul as a true warrior as she is all about the way. Also if she did contact Gideon, wouldn’t she tell him about BO katan being there? Like Gideon was surprised to see her. Even tho he wants her dead as tactically it’ll disrupt the leadership of the mandos causing them to loose balance if not temporally which he can exploit and he also wants the darksaber 🤷🏻♂️ But tbh idk what does everyone else think?
I've been wondering about the Armorer since episode 1 of this series. She's so cool though even if she does end up being a spy for Maul or whoever else. I know Maul finally does die on that final showdown with Kenobi on Tatooine but all things are possible through the force lol
The idea that the Moff is loyal to or copying Maul and not the empire is a completely false premise based on a missed detail. Those are not horns on his helmet in honor of Maul - In fact, those are functional antenna to control the new and improved Dark Troopers. Go back and rewatch S3E7 at 42:17 where he says “Thanks to your planet’s rich resources, I have created the next generation of dark trooper suit; forged from beskar alloy; AND THE MOST IMPRESSIVE IMPROVEMENT IS THAT IT HAS ME IN IT… I will create an army that will bring order to the galaxy."
Maybe Gideon being a former member of Death Watch who later joined the Empire is the reason for his armour design? In terms of who is the other spy, it’s probably Bo’s brother.
maybe i missed the detail…but who’s crafting Gideons armor? this entire time, throughout these seasons, the armor, the weapons…expertly crafted by the Armorer…who’s doing that for Gideon?
If the Armorer was the spy, then the opening scene when Gideon finds out about both mandolorian factions working together wouldn't make sense. He wouldn't have been surprised, rather it would have been apart of his plan.
Gideon was surprised when Elia Kane told him about the mandalorians reuniting, so the armorer probably didn't tell him before that. This is the only reason I don't think she's the other spy.
He not trying make death troopers maybe dark troops but elude to the sith troopers from legends, also told grogu would have no more flash backs lol and checked see if was correct and jar jar is with padme whole time

His name is Axe Woves and he wouldn’t know about Navaaru until he got their after Kane made contact with Gideon I was also sus of him
@@jasensigafuse7130 if Axe is the traitor why didnt Gideon know about Mandalorians uniting before his spy in Coruscant told him that?
Spies Can Refer to Many People
7. The Praetorian Guards might be spies for Palpatine and keep watch on the Imperial Remnant's actions.
i dont think Axe or Armorer are traitors since Gideon didnt know about Mandalorians uniting before Elia told him
Did he not say he combined mandalorian tech and dark troopers? Also he made a distinct electric engine sound when moving, i suspect it either is just a exo skeleton or some kind of voluntary "darth vader" transformation but without the itching
What if the armourer is a female Zabrak that was a once a foundling. That would explain why she has horns on her helmet (they make room for her actual horns). She will eventually make a helmet for Djin Grogu with ears on it.
Beware the chicken-man is armed - Lalo Salamanca 😂
Ooh thats a good idea 👍
I think you solved it
If the writing on this season had been better, I might agree with you, but I'll expect anything at this point.
Plus the Armorer could be on Gideon's side and in deep cover or just unable to tell him the details, or Gideon could've been lying to keep his other sources out of the loop. There's ways around it.
Elia Kane even thinks that the tribe was being led by Din Djarrin, they don't even know who the Armorer even is
Grogu can have Moff’s helmet after he rips off Moff’s head when he finds out Moff has his Daddy. 😂
Gideon : "idk, I just thought they looked neat"
The Armorer is implied to be part of death watch who half of which at one point followed Maul. It is my personal opinion that the Armorer is definitely from one of Maul's factions however I don't think she is the spy. She is too integrated into the Children of the Watch and basically caused most of his opposition by raising Din and instigating Bo.
It makes much more sense for Axe or some other Mandalorian to be his spy.
Technically Maul LOSS to Sidious in combat with the Dark Saber so REALLY it should be Sidious the leader of Mandalorians
Wait, we’re thinking Moff Gideon wants to bring back the emperor. What if Moff Gideon wants to bring back Darth Maul instead?
Now that makes sense.
Another possible spy being the former ruler of the night owls
(I forgot the name) before Bo came back. He clearly isn’t very fond of her and after he left to “get help” we never saw him for the rest of the episode.
I was like WTF when I saw those horn’s. And with his red and black paint scheme it is reminiscent of Darth Maul.
It has to be the armorer. The reason she destroyed the beskar staff in season 2 was not because it poses a threat to mandalorian but it poses a threat to moff Gideon and his enforcers
That or she knew that any non jedi taking that into a gun fight was bound to eventually get blasted.
She could be a Zabrek, aka Mauls species, that's what I think. It would make sense for the size of the horns and the placement of them
Those are only males, females are the witches, I think.
But the females dont have Horns or do they?
@kylerg843 There are 2 sub spiecies mauls side, aka the sisters and the light side, aka the zabrek in swbf 2015
@@mario-k. mauls side are indeed witches the light side female are shown in swbf 2015
Females don't have the spikes. Asajj Ventress, for instance.
I am convinced Ax is a spy, the guy seems to care a lot about money. I think he is the kind of guy that would take a bribe...
Well, maybe because Bo fucked up so many times and got so many people killed...
I think the Armorer knows more and was with Death watch but she broke away. She is definitely withholding her past but it’s out of shame. The same way Bo-Kotan never told everyone how she lost the dark saber. I think the spies are the 3 randos that came out of nowhere asking for food and Axe.
Well one of those randos is one of the best hitmen west of the Mississippi
She wanted to bring all the Mandalorians together so Gideon could finish them once and for all.
She even took a bunch of supposedly sick people back to the fleet. Maybe they're supposed to get the cruiser under their control.
I noticed that as well but figured it was Disney not knowing the lore or full story
Moff is isb in andor he has researched mandolorian tradition so long when he in isb after the purge he became moff now..he has research all mandalorian weapon and history and he is a mandalorian fans😂😂😂
Deanna was Gideons foundling before Gideon took his helmet off and sided with the empire
@@yumallah like how Agent Kallus used an Imperial knock-off of a traditional Lasat weapon.
Any chance the white troopers are Clan Saxon? Looks like Clan Saxon from Rebels.
I'd be PISSED..........If THE Armorer is a spy🤬
Grogu is the spy
The madalorians that wear horns on the helmet were the follower of Darth Maul... Could this be a hint?
wouldn't it be interesting if they brought back the beskar spear or something similar since it can pierce beskar...just thinking out loud (love the vid btw :D )
Didn’t they melt the spear?
Imperial Esposito is an excellent idea😂
It’ll be another “I’m the spy!” moment
And knee pieces are common knee pieces the ragtag ones we see now missing em but dinn has one but most use empire legs pieces
I thought the armorer was the only one who could make the armor out of the bezkar so how did moff Gideon have or get his made?
MAUL! Im so excited! After all, he is the main villain of the sequel trilo... oh ya, I forgot, "somehow palpatine returned".
Moff Gideon kinda reminded me of Gar Saxon
He’s wearing the helmet to signify the mauldalorians
I dont see her being the spy
Personally I can see it both ways
1) she volunteers to go to the surface and Bo katan states there’s be no comms with the fleet once they land.
Even tho he wants her dead as tactically it’ll disrupt the leadership of the mandos causing them to loose balance if not temporally which he can exploit and he also wants the darksaber 🤷🏻♂️
But tbh idk what does everyone else think?
Thank you for this video.
Those "horns" look like Kitty Ears. This big Moff Gideon armor "reveal" left me nonplussed. More like Meowff Kittyon
Since i first laid eyes on the armouror i knew she was loyal to maul
Gideon was surprised when Elia Kane told him about the mandalorians reuniting, so the armorer probably didn't tell him before that. This is the only reason I don't think she's the other spy.
I think she has plans to rule Mandalore. Now that the dark sabre is gone, I’m thinking a civil war.
Can vescar armor withstand a mythosaur bite?
Chomp!
He not trying make death troopers maybe dark troops but elude to the sith troopers from legends, also told grogu would have no more flash backs lol and checked see if was correct and jar jar is with padme whole time
Not only the horns! The shape of Gideon's helmet is a perfect copy of Boba's helmetn
If she is a spy and not kast or ursa, but sad note for next week after this week and rewatching ahsoka trailer Sabine has this sadness when looking at helmet,do we see a purge??big problem is why she done away with her armor
Long live BESSY
I feel like Gideon will meet his demise at the end of the last episode, and one of Thrawn's lackeys will do it or maybe Thrawn himself. The comments he made in this week's episode make it very obvious his days are numbered.
Pelleon is definitely a spy for Thrawn within the shadow council. Honestly its not the mando's Giddeon should be worried about, its Thrawn.
Armorer and Gideon were probably both mauldalorians
Going back to bo katans comment ”the madalore are its biggest enemy." Refering to the fighting factions. Moff Gideon is a mandalorian, Moff Gideon is a death watch mandalorian. And the armourer knows.
I think Gideon is a former follower of Maul just like Gar Saxon was. Could explain why he and the Armorer, who i think is Rook Kast (Also a Maul loyalist), might be in the same league.
Same style helmet, said that mandalora was poisonous, had Bo Katan unit the sides and then took off with the injured prior to the ambush. Armorer is in on it
Yuuzhan Vong as a species does anyone know will Disney be using them?
Me not caring why they share the same horns because it’s just a cool design choice, and doesn’t matter plot wise
