That headless fish we called herein Philippines MALASUGUI...That boat loading a tuna stayed in the ocean for 2 weeks to 1 month..it depends the situation, if the catch as soon as possible, they will be back to to port early, but if not, it takes for almost a month....
5 of my younger siblings, my uncle and cousins is one of the fishermen who delivered their catch fish here..

Very cool tuna market. In japan they also auction off those fish early morning and it's more pricey but they still sold out fast.
Those tunas with top quality are being exported to Japan.

Btw, since you're in Gensan, try to go to the beaches in Saranggani. Then head back to Davao and go further north in Mati City for their beaches as well.
You need to eat a lot of grilled Tuna Panga, that's my favorite when I was still studying in GenSan.
