  • Lapidary work done by Wesley from King Solomon's mine USA cutting of Chrysocolla and Malachite in raw form to finish products, material come from California. It's gemstone comes from King Solomon's Mines USA, call Imperialite. Mine in Imperial county, California.

    Hey Wesley,
    I love that your making plugs, I thought I would mention this for future reference if your making any to sell, if your selling as 1 inch you need to measure one size up from an inch as the outside diameter or they will fall out of our ears hehe! So you would draw a circle at 1 and 1/16” and then the inner measurement of the plug that you make your groove at would measure 1 inch! If the outer diameter isn’t bigger then 1” everytime we turn our heads they fall out haha.
    Keep on working hard these are awesome!

    dude this was amazing thanks for the info i always wondered how they were actually made. i work at a custom stone flooring and countertop place and they serve higher end clients so i have a bunch of random pieces of beautiful rock sitting around ive been waiting to turn into plugs just never knew how. you’re a hero! 🖤

    At the denver gem show i looked over 6 hours and didnt find a single stone plug so this is informative maybe i can go make my own

    Since your profile is a 1"circle the wearable area in middle is the size of the gauge.13/16 is your size.if your selling those as 1" that is very wrong.companies do this often.wearble area is the plug/gauge size not the outer flares

      So just buy the size is a gauge up if you know that companies do this.
