Wow, what an amazing array of collections and treasured finds. He absolutely loves everyone one of his items, you can tell! What fun to enjoy a dinner at his place!!! Wowee. I love to change out my 'kitchen' table as well just for my husband and I. He even began to notice the 'theme' changes. Surely a much lower grade of items but still fun! Alex just got me excited to collect some mis-matching silverware!!! Love this video!!! Thanks for inviting us in!!!
I could listen to this man for hours, I would love 💕 to see his entire collection of China, crystal and flatware. I enjoy curated and table top decor. I hate everything matching that looks like you bought it all at one time.

Love this! I am using my pretty things much more than I used to, and now I think I will use them even more often. I started with having my afternoon tea in an antique cup and saucer instead of a clunky mug. Somehow it is more of a relaxing break and the tea seems to taste better which is of course not true in fact but is in feeling.

Love that Artichoke Salt and Pepper Mill. Thought I’d treat myself and buy the pepper. 😮. Way out of my budget but very pretty.
Alas, $5,000.00 for a georgous salt and pepper shaker that is made in Italy is too much for me. Sadly, I just can't justify the spend. 😢

Here's a tip. Check out how Henry Dupont at Winterthur would consult with his large staff daily on what flowers, linens, and china would be used. His collection was VAST. Supposedly, his concern about the food was blasé. Also, the management of cut flowers throughout the house plus displays in the conservatory was managed with military precision.
Alex does have staff in the Hamptons

I live in the hinterlands, so trust me, I find Alex inspiring and wonderful, especially since he generously shares his knowledge online. That being said, maybe find some chic designers who are also passionate about ecology? Don't want to sound tiresome, but, I refuse to believe that elevated style and ecology can not go hand in hand? Beauty will save the world?
Honestly, I did grow a little tired of listening but I did enjoy seeing all of his wonderful and beautiful things.
