About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first TH-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
I turned 40 this year- I got married, bought my first house, started my career. Certainly turning 40, on top of it being in a pandemic, really made me motivated to get going on what I wanted. My grandmother who I’m very close to died which also felt like a big life transition in changing our families dynamics. I think I cried like all day on birthday because particularly as a woman it felt like a lessening of my value as a person but now I’m on the other side of it I feel grateful and truly happy to start this new chapter 🥰

Well, this vlog is very timely for me. Today is the eve of my 61st birthday. I don’t feel like my perception of 61, I’m not sure I can really put a number to how I feel but, I think of myself as “young”. I do have some grey in my hair, a few aches here and there but, that’s ok, I have years of experience to help me now and that’s invaluable.
Everything you said today Mikey is right, I think. I also believe you’re entering this new milestone of your journey with the right attitude.
I had my “mid-life crisis” in 2006, I bought a super nice sports car, loaded it up and took off on a months long road-trip. It was about “finding myself” (the car was revisiting my youth, I “blamed” that on my Dad who talked me into a sports convertible for my first car) and living without boundaries. Funny thing about that, turns out I was never “lost”, I just needed to recognize what was happening and embrace it. Since that moment, I found a new job, traveled the world several times, worked in some incredible jobs that actually changed things (mostly for the better) for a lot of people, stuff that I’ll treasure for ever.
Now, I’m turning 61, deciding on what to do next for a job and I’m totally at-ease. I took a trip this week to help me clear my mind and focus on finding out answers to my “what’s next” questions. I’ve done that and I’m going home today, totally ready to start my “what’s next” (and crush it, of course).
We all have the “fire” in our pasts, those times and experiences are what tempers us so we can always do better. For me, my 40’s (and 50’s) were prep for now. I don’t really have any regrets and, like you, I believe I’ve “finished” any “business” and, it’s clear sailing ahead.
For me, my most comforting food is Meatloaf with Potatoes and Gravy. My Grandmothers taught me how to make those things, I’ve put my “spin” on them and, yea, that’s my go-to meal, for sure (yep, I have some of that already made, waiting for me in my freezer and it’s my dinner tonight, I can’t wait).
I do think Princess Sahara is now bigger than her brother and, somehow I think she knows it. It’ll be awesome when she has the farm to play in, I think she’ll be keeping you on your toes ;) .
The best parts of our journey lie just ahead and I can’t wait to see how they unfold. Ya’ll stay safe and healthy!! I’ll see ‘ya tomorrow. (Thanks for sharing all this today, I must say that these heart-to-heart moments are my favorite).

I remembered before I turned 40, I was busy teaching and taking care of my baby boy.. I just enjoyed life to the fullest. It's just a number anyway. So, Mikey, just be happy you reach 40 and counting 😎✌️
I'm turning 47 in July. Really its only a number when your mind feels you are younger. Happy being a housewife since I lost my job due to pandemic. Enjoying life as we should. Stay positive. Embrace whatever your future gives you with open arms. Pray!

At 52, I decided to start an exciting new TH-cam channel called WujiKitty. I’m a professional musician and instructor, but your channel inspired me to start my own channel with all my beautiful cats. I have been doing cat rescue for many years, and I thought it would be challenging, but so fun, to have our own channel. The cats get really hyper and jump and leap around, so the content is endless. We’re growing fast in just the past few months! Anyway, thank you so much for having such a positive and inspiring channel. Don’t worry, 40 is still quite young these days! You guys are the best!😻

I’m in my mid-40s and I have found that there truly is wisdom in age. But there’s also patience and tolerance that I did not have I was younger. I assume that goes with the wisdom. But I find I don’t rush things like I used to. I take my time and enjoy life.
You aren't getting older! You are leveling up! I turned 40 this year and that's how I feel about it.

Corned beef with potatoes, sautéed in garlic,onion and tomatoes, fried spam, arroz caldo and Filipino sweet spaghetti. 40’s was the best years of my life. I started a career with Disney Cruise Line and just retired. 20 yrs with the best company in the world.
My wife & I are in our early 40’s and have started a new business venture. It’s funny because one “Daily Affirmation” you showed matched the day we started it. 😁
40 hasn’t been so bad. I turned 40 in July and it’s been full of learning new things! We might be getting older but we are never too young to conquer anything we want. I’ve decided I want to retire by the time I’m 50!
My 40s got off to a rough start: I broke my leg not even a month after. But, improving now!!

You and RJ are interesting people. I look forward to the time we will be seeing you travel and perform again and to see RJ going to children’s schools with his Apple Project and “the crew” again! What he does is so admirable. I’m glad that all the friends and cousins support and help him. You are both inspiring individuals and you inspire as a team. On a side note, I needed this talk today about blooming later in life. After a car accident I am stuck. Physically, I am now challenged due to nerve pain etc. but I am trying to figure out what I still have to give. You just gave me a “Pep Talk”, Mikey, and I thank you for that. 🙏🏼

I turned 40 a little over a month ago and I think I was more panicked when I turned 30 🙈 At least about the age, but I am sorry I am not at the place in my life I thought I would be at that age 🤷♀️ But that is life I guess
This is my last year as a teenager...very excited for entering my 20s later this year...can't wait for this new chapter:)

The 40s are the best! (and you still look 20! hehe) 😁 Mikey, my favourite comfort food as a kid (besides pizza) was grandma's potato burritos. RJ could make you that fried rice dish with cauliflower rice!! I don't eat rice much anymore either and it's really yummy.

Great perspective on life, as a 55yro I agree age is just a #. As I age I also realized how fast it goes by, so just live it n have fun. Don't not do things outta fear of what u might look like to others, or failing, try everything & do everything that interest u. 😷😍

For the question of what my comfort food is, I think grilled pork belly would be one since I have been craving it over the quarantine period haha I was meaning to cook it but our grill has become rusty.
I am almost 30 but I don't really feel any different. I still feel like I am in my early 20s. I don't really look my age as some of my much younger classmates thought I was the same age as them until I mentioned my age haha.

I think cypher is longer, but Sahara is thicker. I just turned thirty. I think we need to move faster as you grow older. I feel I need to do something especially after the pandemic. Mikey can you ask the mabuhay squad for questions about the house then asking architect to answer.
About the age thing i turned 30 in December. And this pandemic somehow worked out for the best for me. I bought my first house i got my first car with air conditioning. My quality of life have increased drastically but at the same time on days I work if i get home alive I need a nap before doing anything else. Doing more than one ir 2 tasks a day becomes harder and harder. Lol
