- There is a huge glitch in the No Man's Sky Desolation update. You can actually use the same emergency broadcast receiver over and over. This is how you can get unlimited derelict freighters, and that means unlimited upgrades! This is too awesome to pass up, but it is probably going to get fixed really quick.

It does but after selling the manifests and removing it from the personal refiner, I had to exit then reenter my inventory before it would show the reset.
Make sure you add it in refiner before you use it on sealed door. Freighter asks every time before you enter.

Found a even easier way. After you get the upgrade. Go out & get back in your ship, pulse drive away from freighter till out of sight then slow back down. Pull the receiver out of your personal refiner and put it back in your exo suit inventory. Pulse drive again & then slow back down. Boom reset. You activate again & put back in your personal refiner till you complete the next one👍✌️

I haven't tried this with the receiver yet, but I can tell you that at least in my personal experience, it won't unseal to door to another derelict until you sell the crew manifest and captain's log. Can anyone confirm this for me in their experience? This happened when I had 3 derelicts all right near each other and I tried to hop to the next one. However, these were not randomly spawned through pulsing, I just stumbled upon them, so they might have been spawned by other players and I happened upon them before they despawned.

@@JasonPlaysNMS Hey man, I've got a question, perhaps you can help... Can't seem to find the info online... In the trailers I've seen "alien nests" and alien critters reminiscent of face huggers scurrying around... I've scavenged through at least 20 or more of these freighters and haven't seen anything other than the green flying jellyfish and some A.I. security countermeasures. Any idea how to find freighters similar to what we saw in the trailer?? I've warped quite a bit in my search, and I'm still in Euclid. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Jason. LOVE all that you do man 😎🤘
If anyone is wondering as of now ot still works
Hey jason and everyone else still works but here is a tip to not deal with the logs. If you activate the EBR at the space station inside your starship before leaving and putting it inside the refiner like shown, you dont have to waste time getting the logs if you are only interested in the upgrades at the end. Once you leave and make your way back to the space station remove the EBR and put it in the exosuit before entering the space station and it should reset. DONT FORGET TO GET OFF YOUR STARSHIP BEFORE REACTIVATING THE EBR SO YOU AUTO SAVE. Makes it way faster to get the upgrades. Make sure to repeat the steps. If you forget to remove it before entering the space station, no big deal just remove it and leave the station and come back in should reset.

So I've encountered an issue with these frieghters today. The last 2 I've done, I am literally blocked from progressing to the 6th room due to some floating piece of debris that no matter what I did, it refused to move or budge. Had to bail twice halfway through and ended up wasting my receivers
The fix for that is already on the new Experimental Branch. It happened to me too.
i play in VR and came up against this a few times. i switched to teleport movement to get round it. Guess this'll help only the VR peeps
It pisses me off because I know how many nanites I could have gotten out of it lol. Guess I'll have to wait for a patch and hope for the best

Using this glitch you always get the exact same freigher even after changing systems? At least im 5/5 same crew aame story same items same ship
I can't get anything from tree guy, he just keeps saying he's tiered
for one you need to buy the very first one for 5 mil from the scrap dealer, then he will start having it, then if you have extracted nanites from him he needs a day to rest. after that once a week he should have the emergency broadcast reciever hope that helps!

If you bypass the crew manifest and captains log and just get the upgrades it resets as soon as you land some where else

I'm from the future. Can confirm this glitch still works after the new patch.
I also found a glitch yesterday where if you locate a derelict freighter and have a buddy open the airlock you keep your freighter scanner so you could just keep doing them as long as you don’t open the door.

I skip straight to the engineering control room. Everything else doesn't even matter.
b33lz me too. If I know the layout I can make it to engineering before my thermal protection drops to 50% and I don’t have any thermal mods on. Of course assuming there is no floating microwaves blocking the hallways.

I found another way to do this glitch
Alternatively, if you are playing with a friend, have them open use the console and open the door when you first arrive at the freighter. I've tested this with about 4-5 different broadcast receivers and done them multiple times. However, it seems as if they are the same style / loot content each time you use the same (reused) one.

Can confirm! Just make sure to keep it in the refiner while you are searching the freighter, and definitely take it out when you land on the space station and before you hang over the captain's log / crew manifest.
@@JasonPlaysNMS i forgot to take it my refiner after i gave the logs over, so it stayed active, but then used the galatic trade terminal, after that it was fine, tried it twice, so if u forget to take it out before the logs,use the trade terminal after

Meh. I just duped mine and filled a storage bin for when derelict freighters are worth doing. Only room that matters is the engineering room. Still great vid. :)
Dr.Masque I got my freighter warp range to 4200ly with hyperdrive upgrades which is insanely strong
Engineering room for sure, bug getting those ranks high is pretty useful for titles.

@@JasonPlaysNMS very true. Im just a bit salty with how underwhelming the derelicts ended up being. Im hoping that for Halloween or something they turn the derelict space stations and derelict freighters into a haunted house type thing.
I love my title although its an easy one to get. I run around with "The Corroded" Dr.Masque The Corroded just sounds nice :p
@@haydenchu58 i never use my freighter for warping. Come to think of it i hardly ever warp. Been playing since day 1 so theres nothing for me to do anymore really besides gawk and awe at how pretty the game and planets are

When I go talk to Helios, all he says is that he's so tired. There are no dialog options to ask about freighters or anything else, just "Leave."
Are you offline? Because no other dialogue appears if you are, and it basically renders him useless until you go back on (check the quicksilver store if all the stuff isn’t there that’s how you know your not connected)
You need to buy the first freighter location from the scrap dealer on any space station and then helios will talk about them. :)
It may also be that you are on GoG having used the offline installers. If so, install GoG galaxy and run it once, then you can start NMS with the normal icon you DON'T have to start it through galaxy. It will auto connect you with multiplayer on and you can turn that off in options if you wish but it will fix Helios' stubbornness. That's what happened to me and nothing but what I just said fixed it. So I'm sharing it for anyone else.
Keep trying throughout the week, maybe you got one and used or got rid of it.

Jumping into spaceship is trigger. It resets wherever u are, at whatever point you do it. Even when just activated.

@@scareditymays6yearsago477 What's awesome is i reported it to Hellogames and they responded that day. what isn't awesome is this is my first tutorial mission for this so no matter how many times i get the cords it is always the same ship.. but they said it should be fixed next patch. I hope so

Either this has been patched or I'm doing something wrong because after I did all the freighter stuff and sold everything, I took the receiver out of the refiner and it still said active and I couldn't use it.

December 17, 2021---- still works!!
The PC version looks so different. I've yet to see anything with slime or overgrowth on it. Some turrets and drones and floating green aliens and that's it.
Can confirm this still works post update 10/26/20. Sometimes the beacon won't go back to normal after being active but if you go to the galactic trade terminal like you're going to sell it (found this out because I was in fact going to sell it) it will go back to normal and ready to work again.

It is december 15, 2020 and i can confirm this glitch still works. Remember that you can only take the broadcast receiver ONCE YOU HAVE ENTERED THE SPACE STATION AND EXITED YOUR SHIP. Anywhere else and it will not work. Have a sub my boi
I’m certain I know how this glitch works. If you didn’t know already, you **can’t** delete anything in personal refiners. Since you can’t delete anything in personal refiners, the broadcast receiver couldn’t be deleted, obviously.
I forgot about the Receiver I put in the personal refiner and Jumped to another Glaxy....
When I repaired the personal refiner after the jump is was bugged and inoperable.
It shows an image of Dirty Bronze or Chromatic Metal in the "fuel" slot and makes a constant buzzing sound when you try access it.
Dissembling and reassembling doesn't fix it. Jumping to another galaxy and repairing it again doesn't fix it. Dissasembling and jumping then reassembling dosen't fix it...
Don't forget to take it out!!!
Can confirm still works as of January 6 2022
I've been getting free ones from doing Nexus missions. It usually gives one for the first mission every day. This glitch isn't really even necessary unless you're like a day old, money is just too easy to come by in this game. I've bought 10 at 30mil a pop just to use up the credits :)

Glitching you say I say Cheating you might as well just play in creative mode I'm really not a fan of cheating I mean glitching but hey you play the way you want to it's really not hard to make units in this game to make cash for the abandoned freighters and hello games actually put something expensive in the game for us to spend our units on and people find ways around it still not to spend our billions

If in a hurry, once finished with the freighter, just pulse for a few seconds until the freighter mission text changes (bottom right corner), and then your EBR is safe to pull out of the personal refiner and reuse.

seems buying these things from the scrap guy doubles in price each time. mine was 5 then 10 then 20mil to purchase... it will probably reset to 5 each week i assume.
If you actually read the patch notes, they increase every time you buy them and reset the next day
Yep, resets everyday. I believe that is 2pm eastern time, but not positive.
The receivers go up to 30mil if you continually buy them in the same system. If you hop systems, the first one you buy will be 5mil and then go up. HG wants us to go system to system completing derelict freighter, but of course we don't have to 😉
@@Confydes bought one in a Gek system for 5 mil, jumped to another system (Corvax) it was 10 mil. So system hopping doesnt affect price.

I came across an invisible wall on a derelict freighter.Couldn't move further
i wish that this wasn't a glitch since it takes so long and costs so much (eventually). you could pull a elite dangerious and make salvaging your "job" or even make a full on salvage crew. (jumping the gun, i know, but i just think it would be cool)

Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome vids. You have helped me out a ton.
I noticed that even if I go the the scrap dealer I still get the +1 in standings. But it depends, like one time I’ll get nanites. Then the next I’ll get standing, and the third time I’ll get standing and nanites. It’s weird but so far it’s only with the scraper not the guild guy. Doesn’t matter what race the results are the same. Just thought maybe there’s something there to look into.

Hey Jason I found a new glitch so to speak I found an S-Class module on a derelict freighter and then when I redid that same freighter again I also got another S-Class module I've already gotten like 4 S-Class hyperdrive that add 247 light years to my freighter eatch and I've got Mining and other exploration mods and they're all s class every single time.
Have they latched this?
To those saying it's patched. It works if you go to your freighter and put it in a storage container

This was 4 weeks ago, so maybe you already figured it out, but you have to buy one from the scrap dealer first. After buying the first one, Helios will then give you one each week.

Hey Jason, I think I may have found a glitch for the portal glyphs. You need to obviously find a traveller and pick up the glyph from the grave, then you ask a friend to join on you and warp to a random system that isn’t the one you are in. Once they have warped, you need to put a save beacon down, use it then quit to mode select and join back on your friend and you can grab the glyph again, you can do this over and over. I don’t know wether this is an known thing but if it’s not maybe it’s for an informative video for people who don’t have them yet?
it works for almost anything. Especially good for the drop pods thingies to upgrade inventory

That would explain why i have been using the same one all week on pc, never really thought about it.
My post-origins method: (23 OCT 2020 Xbox One)
1. Activate [Emergency Broadcast Receiver]
2. Put active [Emergency Broadcast Receiver] inside [Personal Refiner]
3. Open derelict freighter door via terminal
3. Take active [Emergency Broadcast Receiver] out of [Personal Refiner] at any time after initial derelict door but BEFORE you return to the station
4. Complete derelict freighter (Skip logs)
5. Pulse to space station, get out, active [Emergency Broadcast Receiver] is now reset AND you have saved your progress
6. Repeat steps 1-5
No one does anything with racing...they should use racing as a weekend event....Here's the Portal address to BallzFallz raceway 3.1.14.10.16.12.5.11.11.5.2.14 translate in Discoveries Glyphs ingame. Can you beat the tracks best drivers?
