I was lucky enough to live in Lalbagh Parel area which is the hub of most famous Ganpatis in Mumbai during my post graduation. In terms of popularity Lalbagh cha Raja ranks 1 but for localites living over there, Ganesh Gallicha Raja ranks 1. One missing Ganpati from the list is GSB Ganesh Mandal, Wadala which is the Wealthiest Ganpati in India.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10 day festival, and is same everywhere, we can't end featival in between, the reason is as per the hindu calender, the Ganesh Chaturthi (Day 1) ends on Anant Chaturdashi (Day 10), Anant means eternal, this day is considered auspicious and also dedicated to lord vishnu. Hence the visarjan (Immersing idols in water), takes place on this day.
This day always comes on 10th day after Ganesh Chaturthi hence it is celebrated as a 10 day festival.
