My point is that win or lose it’s gonna have a massive effect on your performance. Its gonna affect your cardio and chin. I don’t think he’d be so sluggish and rush for a finish if he was at his 100% best.

@@hasindukumara5358 Bro, if you knew anything about a guillotine choke you'd know that shit wasn't locked in. Khabib realized he was in a position where the wrong move could lead to an “almost” guillotine choke and calmed down, analyzed the situation, and got out. Rewatch that section of the fight, when Dustin had his forearm around Khabib's neck he didn't have enough space to fully use his free hand because Khabib, taking advantage of the fact that his arm was out widened the space in between his left and right shoulder by posting at a wider angle. Without that space, DP didn't have enough room to “lock” in his guillotine. That submission was a little lucky too, sure, he was attempting a guillotine but he left khabibs arm out, allowing him to post and move his bodyweight into Dustin's left arm, making the choke tighter for a little but also blocking off DP’s other leg from wrapping around his body. There's just a misconception that he “almost” had a guillotine, but really, khabib knew what he was doing by moving into the choke. He actually did it twice during the submission attempt, he anticipated Dustin wrapping his legs around, and using the leverage he had posting, shifted his body blocking off Dustin's leg. He also did this twice to tire DP’s arms out. If that choke was ever truly locked in you'd see Khabib panic a little.
@@hasindukumara5358Do you know anything about a guillotine choke? Because if you did you would know that Dustin never really “locked in” shit. The only time Khabib ever had his airpipe cut off was when he strategically moved his body to the left side of Dustin Poirier to prevent DP from wrapping his legs around him. The mistake DP made was leaving Khabibs arm out allowing him to shift his weight and widen the angle at which Dustin’s right hand could clasp onto his left hand (making the choke not as tight). He never actually locked the choke in and the only time he technically did was when Khabib allowed it so he could defend against Dustin attempting to fully wrap his legs around him.
