As 'discriminating' as it may seem, the establishment did what was right and fair. For 1, his ID said male, and 2. if he hasn't even put in the effort to change his legal status, I'm confident he hasn't changed his genitalia. So if an individual still has the equipment to potentially sexually assault a BIOLOGICAL FEMALE then they should not be allowed to be enclosed with said females. Why does society have to forsake the safety of biological women for the feelings/beliefs of transgender 'females'???

Hmmmm......Yeah in America they do have that right. In Tiajuana I Remember having to pay a dime, handed 6 square sheet of TP and stood in line 20 minutes holding pee, poo and menstrual blood.
For 60 years I can recall a dress sign for ladies room and pants sign for men to identify which is which.
With that said I wish public bathrooms were constructed with more privacy for ALL. Trans included!

We trans women are at risk a remarkably higher risk of being assaulted in a bathroom than cis people. ON TOP OF THAT it's cis women that harm trans women in bathrooms sexually NOT the other way around!! For instance the case of TWO cis women raping a trans woman who was in a stall. There's virtually no cases of trans women assaulting anybody in a public restroom but there's COUNTLESS stories of trans people being assaulted, inclduing by MEN who FOLLOWED these WOMEN into the WOMENS ROOM. Lastly policing women's bathrooms DIDN'T actually harm trans women, but the amount of cis women that were harassed and accused of being trans from MEN trying to keep trans women out of women's rooms?? Being welcomed into an establishment is not the same as granting you access to restricted rooms based on your biological reality or status as a client. Male clients are restricted from entering Womens' bathrooms, and Female clients are restricted from entering Mens' bathrooms. In the same way, clients (regardless of gender) are restricted from entering the manager's private quarters.
Being denied entry to a room meant for someone you're not isn't ''X-Phobic", it's common sense.
More women are attacked by sharks every year than by trans women. Your biological reality is as thin as paper. The fact is our _psychological reality_ goes much further in defining each of us as people.
Your biology is what you can see.
Your psychology is your name, profession, language, laws, gender identity and sexual orientation to name a few. Psychology defines how we interact socially. It governs how commerce is conducted. Psychology defines good and bad, right and wrong.
Trans women ARE women psychologically. We need to be treated with dignity as women or our mental health drops through the floor and we become a burden on society instead of a producer.

People have the capacity to lie about their identity, so identity or individual psychology isn't a reliable tool for defining men/women.
Even under your definition, a person who lies and claims to identify as a man but actually identifies as a woman would be wrongfully defined as a man.
On the other hand, Biology / DNA testing does not lie and is much less fallible and much more reliable.
There's no logical reason to replace a more reliable model (Biology) with a less reliable model (Psychology) in order to define men/women.

How many "women" have cut in line at the MENS restroom to relieve themselves because the women's line was too long and the men let them in. A twelve year old child can't really properly consent to something like that. They don't even realize how much they will change in just a few short years.
Going through puberty actually ends the dysphoria in the overwhelming majority of gender dysphoric children.
Putting them on puberty blockers actually prevents them from outgrowing it, usually until adulthood. By that time it's too late.

If they had not stopped him from coming in and I was using the bathroom I would have freaked out. No man should be using the womans bathroom just because he has decided he now identifies as a woman. I respect and support peoples choice to change gender. However, I draw the line at the restroom, changing rooms, and competitive sports. If people’s intentions were always good, I wouldn’t have a problem. My issue is with personal safety. It’s dangerous enough for women to use public bathrooms but then to have a biologically male or men, in the restroom is personally very frightening to me. I understand we shouldn’t judge before we get to know someone. But I feel, in general, men are stronger, more violent, aggressive, intrusive and impulsive than women, biologically speaking. All apologies to the kind, decent men out there. So, in my opinion, if you are biologically male, you should use the mens restroom or single room bathroom.

We screen teachers and anyone that works works with vulnerable ppl, not because most ppl are dangerous but because of the seriousness of the harm that can be caused by the few ppl who are dangerous.
We safeguard women against men, and create female only spaces, not because the likelihood of attacks by men is high but because of the seriousness of the harm that can be caused by the attacks. We can't put those safeguards in place all the time but we can do it when women are most vulnerable, bathrooms, shelters, prisons etc. The threats to women come almost exclusively from men, regardless of how the man identity. A man who identifies as something else is still a man when it comes to the issue of safeguarding women.
Then it should be mandatory that all businesses and public areas with restrooms have 3, a mens, womens, and gender neutral restroom. Oh wait you also had a problem with that too.

Private businesses reserve the right to refuse service to any individual that they please as well as to ask them to leave . If the individual does not leave then the business has the right to call law enforcement and have that individual trespassed.

It doesn't even just impact trans women, there are already dozens of recorded instances of butch or androgynous cis women being harassed or removed from restrooms. There was also a recent incident of a trans man being beaten in a women's restroom and then arrested by the police... AFTER he was forced to use that restroom by the management of the business he was in.

I remember as a little girl growing up walking into the Females restroom finding a man sitting on the toilet I was traumatized for years. He gets no sympathy here.

If the venue has to rely on government-issued ID to verify a person's age, it stands to reason that the same ID should be the source of truth in determining the person's gender, name, or anything else on it.
