So glad you confirmed there was a change with the exam. I wonder if this is the same case with the Instructor Exam. I missed the exam by 1 point from passing. I felt I did not do well because I was not able to tell if certain question were national or state specific. I too am a IL but also aware of other state license laws and think second guessing was a huge part of me not passing the exam. Now I am trying to obtain both my Managing Broker License and my Instructor License here in IL. Thanks for your info! It is very helpful!
I did but I know I missed it, I've been having the worst time iwth the math. I came across you because I am going back after failing on Wednesday last so, I am going back on the 11/22, I feel after discovering you if I use your study methods I will get it, I do think it's good that they separated the State from National. I am CA Realtor, and going after my IL broker license because I am there a lot and family wants me to get it... @@realestatetutoress

Hi, it depends on your learning style, your current life situation and where you are located. You can choose an in-person school, an online course with an instructor or a self study course without an instructor for the first 60 hours. If you work full-time, a self study may be best. If you're able to attend an in-person class, you can look up options in your community. I'm in Chicago and so I can recommend a few here. When I took the course, I did the self study because I worked full-time. Regardless of the school you choose, you will need to study the material outside of class to fully grasp the material.
@@JehermyTheTruth what part of IL are you located? I would say do a Google search and look at their reviews. I'm in the Chicago area and there are a few here I can recommend

Congratulations on passing the state portion. Use the handbook to go over every section. Know your vocabulary and take your time reading the questions. You're almost there, in cheering you on 💪🏾
Hi and thank you so much for making these videos! Quick question, I thought you had to have a 75 to pass the exam. My IL broker handbook says 75 to pass
Hi @ashleehenrichs8387 you're most welcome. They've been changing the exam a lot lately. Here is the most up to date information in the current Candidate Handbook. bit.ly/ILCandidateHandbook whatever this says is what it is. People who have recently tested said it was a 70 for national.

Hi I scored a 61 and was devastated on the national portion. I was thinking I was running out of time for some reason I panicked and just ran through it and hit done. That was July 25th I was so broken I haven’t even studied again. I feel like I don’t even want to take it. I passed my state I felt like with ease once I found out I had time. I’ve decided I’m going to do it again and this time I’m going to actually pay attention to the time and relax like I did once I knew I had the time. It really does mess with you when you fail it. Take your time relax and study. I hope to pass next time!
Hi Jennifer, sending you virtual hugs. It's devastating but don't wait too long to try again. Do a little bit every day to get back in the routine of studying. You learned a lot from the last experience that will help you when you take it again. Keep your head up, plan to take it again in a few weeks and begin to prepare. You got this! 💪🏾
@@realestatetutoress Thanks and I will take it again. I have to study from scratch I feel like I don’t know anything now. Thanks again for the kind words!
Hello 😊 I am so grateful for your videos. Especially the amortization math problems (which is not in the textbook) I tried to explain this problem to the broker I took my class with and he had never heard of any student stating they had a problem like that. In fact, none of my Realestate friends and family experience a problem like this. Thanks so much as it confirmed I’m not crazy. Also the amortization chart is in the test.
Congratulations on passing the state portion. The national portion is harder (in my opinion). Don't give up, take a mental break then start studying again.
