Thanks for suggesting Drops yarn. I see several TH-cam knitters using Drops. I recently made a purchase from Linde Hobbi during their Drops sale and bought enough wool to knit a couple of crop cardigans. The colors i picked are beautiful. I can only purchase affordable yarn and this foots the bill beautifully. It only took around 10 days to receive my yarn from Denmark, and the shipping costs were minimal. I always love watching your sewing and knitting videos, I also follow you on Instagram 😊❤

It's good to be ableto have something different to look at isn't it rather than just the one. x

I knit like you, I have to stop and wrap the wool each time, love the lodge sweater that needs to be an aspiration for me! X

It’s definitely slower, but we get there 😁 x

@@bobobun I used to knit with my arms whirling around, probably for about 6 years, but I did eventually manage to teach myself to wind the yarn round my fingers and sort of hook it over without moving my whole arm. I knit English style. So it can be done! It was an effort to re-learn and I was slow and clumsy at first but in my opinion it's worth giving it a try. On the other hand I can't do that for stranded, I absolutely have to pick up the yarns and drop them. There's no way I could hold one strand English and one Continental, or hold both the yarns in one hand or anything.

@@infamoussphere7228 you did good retraining your hands, not sure I’ve got as much patience 😁❤️

Hi, thank you so much for talking about your knitting. You have made some gorgeous garments. I tend to knit in the winter and sew in the summer, but have really got into vintage knitting recently. I used to get fed up with knits half way through and put them away. Recently though I seem to have thoroughly enjoyed my makes and have been disappointed when I have finished making the garment as I have loved the process. I love to spend time on eBay finding old patterns. I will look at the books you mentioned. It’s Mother’s Day coming up.😀 look forward to your next video. Take care.

The eBay & Etsy rabbit hole of vintage patterns is a terror 😆 adds more to the wish list hey. I try to do ten rows before I put it down, keeps me on track albeit slowly.

That was interesting! Could you put link to people you mention in the description or comments?

Hi Lisa. It was lovely to see all your knits. Maybe showing your WIPs will encourage you to finish them. Knitting is so much more fun now with so many pattern choices and being able to buy so many different yarns online. I'm coming to the end of knitting a lace cardigan from a pattern out of an old magazine and also working on a pair of socks. X

Lace knitting is so beautiful & you’ve nearly finished, I must follow your example 😄. Glad you enjoyed seeing the 🧶

I love your cardigans,Lisa, they really compliment your dresses beautifully. I never sew for myself as I have a pathological fear of tape measures, but make things for my daughter , and have knitted for over 55 years. I made a cardigan to go with a 1950s skirt when I was in The Pajama Game, years ago from one of my mum's patterns - don't think it would go anywhere near me now 😊. Thank you for the inspiring vlog x

Sorry I missed your comment before Deborah. That’s not good to fear the measurements, hopefully one day soon. Knitting is the most marvellous way to create too though isn’t it x

Can you share your suggestions for the Drops yarn for the Poison Girls Joanie? I have been wanting to knit it for years but was put off by the cost of the suggested yarns and I am just not experienced enough with what yarns to use instead 🥺

I used Drops Baby Merino for my Joanne Natalie which have a good colour selection to. I choose alternative yarn by checking needle size is the same, working out the meter age plus suggested tension if there is one.
I would say really check your measurements for the Joanie as I wish I’d gone down a size to Small now. The medium is far bigger on me than I wanted & the neck was huge. I’ve only worn it a couple of times which is a shame as it’s a lovely pattern.

isn't it funny how the podcasts that talk about their life history /family etc, attract all the thousands of voyeurs rather than those podcasts that just stick to the subject matter at hand.

Confused as to what you’re actually saying.

I don't bother with top down patterns, they are awful. Threw out the pdf ones I bought. I only knit bottom up, so much better in my opinion.

It’s all down to personal taste with everything isn’t it. I prefer top down as much easier to get the fit and length right for me. 🙂
