- After having two demo machines in the summer of 2021, Farmec Ireland LTD invited us over to take a look round the SIP factory. Donkey was granted free reign so he had to take a nosey round their factory!

Great that you have come to Slovenia (my country sLOVEnia) to film the Sip Factory. They have come very far and are right the at the top when it comes to quality with other big names in this industry.
We have a Sip Silvercut 300 S FC rear central pivot mower with conditioner, and i must say we are really happy with the machine, really robust built and great grass quality.

On our small farm have some smaller Sip products. Selfloading wagen from 1974, still many times in usage...

Got a Orkel 850 rake back in 16/17. That was when Sip really put money, research and effort into reaching out to foreign markets, learn what farmers and contractors need.
In Norway they were sold through Orkel (CNH bought their balers blueprint and rights few years back so they are in CNH colors now, but they still sell "CNH" balers today and offers a full grass lineup with help from Sip)
Orkel today only makes more simple trailers but their "crown" is their compactor balers.
Our old 850 rake has now swathed countless of hectares, used by many operators, in many different conditions of wet heavy and thick grass to light hay and straw.
Had to change out bearings and some joints that holds the rotor. And shes still as new and been a far better one than our old Pottinger Eurotop 771a was.
Anyways i can tell on the newer stuff from them during demo days and outside the dealer that they are built even more solid and thought through.
Very interesting! Great to hear some genuine feedback on the SIP. The newer Pottinger stuff is beefed up alot too though to be fair.
@@Grassmen ill be honest and say i was skeptical in the beginning but that quickly faded as we were using the rake. Its due for a renewal, not because its faulty now. On the contrary since we upgraded housing and joints so its like new but more due to the contracting part.
Id gladly get a new Sip 850. Depends on how good of a deal with the salesman i get ;)
Same with a mower upgrade, would like to demo one first but impressions from owners ive talked too are good and theire happy with them so its promising

@Grassmen I was at a show in the US and the salesman said that they haven’t had a mower bid fail since 1996. That’s a good sign of quality in my eyes.

There 1 was on trial over here in mid Canterbury and it was power hungry in our grass from what I got told, only saw it parked up unfortunately
They say 350 horse power minimum is whats required to drive it, probably more in Irish grass though. Quigleys ran that prototype one in NZ for a season I believe?
@@Grassmen I belive they did have it for a while as did Holdaway Contacting which is where I saw it parked up, herd that it dragged a 936 fendt to it knee's trying to keep some pace to it

Re the painting v powder coating, non toxic water based paint might be used on parts that will lose the paint and may end up in the feed i.e. silage, grain. Is this SIP the same as the SIP who make compressors and over workshop machines and tools?
No different companies, sip tools is a UK based company
also used on anything with seals bearings grease oil fitted
Anything you cannot heat to 180 degrees for a period of time for powder to cure
