Thank you Madison and Houston for this incredeble masterclass. So much new stuff to learn and practice. love that charlie miller cut. I would love to see a masterclass of riffle stacking cause everytime i try to learn that i fail.
You gained a new subscriber Mr. Madison! I’ve been following Houston for awhile now. This a sick video and you had great content added to it. Hope to see you two do more stuff together!
What an amazing mind! Never ending amazing work from you Daniel Madison. Thank You for your prize generosity in sharing over the years. Man we'e lucky to have a card talent like you.
Like Daniel has said, the "Pass" isn't perfect. But it can be the perfect move to use depending on the circumstances. Unlike a performance where everyone is focused on your hands...In a live game, distractions are everywhere. Smart mechanics are just as good at "picking their spots" as they are at manipulating the deck.
Tell me if this is a dumb question but could you just make it so your riffles end up with the deck one cut away from being in order, have a subtle break, then just cut it cleanly onto the cut card? Or is that why there is a shuffle before the final cut?
There are no dumb questions! The last riffle shuffle before the Final Cut can be a bitch! If you leave one thing out of the regulation dealing procedure it opens up all kinds of additional possibilities. ie, leaving the cut cut out front before you go to the cut allows you to do a final riffle push thru, come out of the PT into the cut. When I train casinos and game runners I make sure they enforce keeping the cut card to the left and doing a one handed. It for this very reason. Having said that, yes… if doing a full deck control you could do an arrow for your final riffle and cut from a break or crimp allowing yourself to bypass nullifying the cut. Or if securing a stack on bottom or top you could do the same thing using a short shuffle.
Damn. I actually quit sleight of hand some months ago but I really just got in the mood to begin again because of this video. Huston's Bottom deal tutorial on yt is one of the sources where I learned my first good Bottom deal from (the others being Daniel Madison's bottom deal and of course the OG instructions from Erdnase's book). Wish y'all a nice day 👋
I had never heard of the swe shift. But I liked that card move Daniel did. I think he called it a swe shift. Loved the Charlie Miller. What does SWE mean?
Thanks!

Well shot and good explanations.

Yes this can be done. Often done with a crimp.

Yes you can it’s called a brief, which can be set during the shuffle, during cutting or after the cutting/shuffle.
Thank your.😊

Very cool!
Houston Curtis used to talk tons of shit about DM awhile back and I am glad to see him come around. Thanks Houston!
Thanks for watching. I’ve never made a video shit talking anyone in the sleight of hand community. Daniel is a beast!
For Houston to do a video like this on someone else’s channel, shows me he has total respect for Daniel.
swe shift steve forte

Here is an easy way to beat the cut... Switch it out with a deck full of dupes... Thats it LOL
