You will get more speed with it in the back. I’d recommend the auto boat system and the Newport 55. It gives you spot lock on a regular trolling motor. I have it on my big rig and it’s awesome.

@HendersonHookin ty for replying, any downside mounting it there? I have a 360 angler, picked up a trolling motor and bracket so looking at front or back. Figured back would be better for weight as well

@@manzanitadriftwood1283 you may loose a little throw on the rudder. I used an extension for the tiller handle. The loss of rudder throw can be made up by turning the motor either the tiller
