Hi Caroline and best wishes to you for the coming year. With extensive work comittements and poor weather I have not been flying for a while. I did charge my lipos just before Xmas when we had a calm day but then aborted as I didn't want to face the cold, maybe I am getting softer in my old age :-) Hopefully going to get out and test my new motor and prop setup on the AR pro this Friday and maybe even iNav 4 if i get time to set it up.
@@bluefish3607 I've moved all my iNav planes to 4, looking forward to the re-tune. In these cold and dark days I scratch the flying itch with a spot of indoor flying, it's far warmer and dryer. That and building :)
As long as you ensure you get good CG and get the trims set mechanically you can run inav 3.0 and above on the standard settings and then Autotune and start tweaking it from there depending on your flying style and personal requirements.
In my opinion they are both great planes, the Dart XL is much more of a cruiser and not as agile as the AR but great for long range lookd really cool. The AR Pro really can do it all, fast, agile, long range and a lot less delicate in a crash than the Dart XL which can be fragile. If I had to only choose one I would go for the AR Pro personally.

Hi John with Crossfire it does not really matter as you map the pins on your radio. I go CH1 to UART RX and CH2 on the Crossfire receiver to UART TX Here is a good guide that might help explain oscarliang.com/crossfire-betaflight/

Not much really Jan its almost ready for hydro-dipping and I will have more time with winter weather upon us now.
