- It's a one hour extravaganza of happy guinea pig noises! We've got all the excited guinea pig sounds - wheeking, squeaking, squealing, rumblestrutting, purring, teeth chattering, and even some whining and crying about being cuddled. Guinea pigs have surprisingly loud voices!
Many people tell us they play our guinea pig noise videos like music for guinea pigs. And their guinea pigs go wild when they hear it. So we wanted to make a long video of loud talkative guinea pigs with no talking from the humans. This should make great entertainment for dogs and cats too! Let us know what your pets think of the video!

In June 2019 we adopted five pigs from Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue. They are cute herbivorous small pets with funny social interactions. We film all their behaviors, from happy guinea pig noises to eating sounds, playing with their food to sleeping with their eyes open, and occasional fighting. So far they have been most popular for their loud wheeking and rumblestrutting, adorable spa day and bath time, fleece bedding cage makeover, funny naps, and their ridiculous guinea pig fights!
Our videos generally have no talking so they're great in any language, whether you search for guinea pigs as cobayos, conejillos de indias, cochons d'Inde, meerschweinchen, morče, marsvin, cavia, marsu, tengerimalac, marmot, porcellino d'India, cobaia, gine domuzu, chuột bạch, świnka morska, морская свинка, خوکچه هندی ,خنزير غينيا, 豚鼠, モルモット, 기니피그, or หนูตะเภา!
MEET THE PIG FAMILY
Spaghett is the boar of the herd. The rest of the pigs are females, but he’s a neutered male so they won’t be breeding. Sorry, no pregnant or baby guinea pigs! Spaghett has orange-brown ginger fur with a white crest on his head and red eyes that are pretty cute. He goes on funny romps with entertaining popcorning and zoomies. He does a hilarious rumblestrutting dance for his beautiful ladies while purring. He enjoys petting, especially face massages and scratching around the ears.
Acorn is youngest. She has white, black, and gold fur with a cute mousy face. She’s inquisitive, always wants food, and talks to herself while exploring hay piles. Little Acorn’s special talent is jumping on houses for rooftop adventures.
Butternut appears either confused or deep in thought. She has white and gold fur. Her hobbies include sleeping and yawning while flopped over with her feet sprawled out. She continues wheeking, squeaking, and squealing at us after we have already given her food.
Pumpkin has black fur except for white back toes. She looks like a cow, a non-guinea pig, and a rabbit. She has noisy standoffs with feisty little Acorn.
Zucchin is oldest and grumpiest. She has white and gray fur. At first Zucchin fought with Spaghett. There were teeth chattering, nose raising, and hair puffing battles. Now they get along, but Zucchin is still a grouch. She loves to chase pigs out of their homes, follow them to another home, and chase them out of that one too. But she looks like a cute rat!
THEIR HOME
The pigs live in a custom 4 by 6 foot cage made by merging 3 Midwest Guinea Habitat cages. We cut the seams of the cage bottoms and joined them into one large cage liner with duct tape and super glue. Now we have a triple size MidWest cage! The cage is on cheap folding tables so we can easily care for and interact with the pigs. They first lived in the 3 cages connected by ramps with DIY ramp covers we made by sewing blankets.
The bedding is IKEA TOFTBO bath mats. We’ve tried disposable paper bedding and fleece blankets with towels underneath. But this is the best guinea pig bedding we have found so far! It’s comfortable and absorbent. We spot clean at least twice a day. And every day we wash 1 of the 3 carpet rugs in a portable washing machine in the bathtub and dry it using a spin dryer for laundry. It’s easy and convenient compared to washing fleece by hand in the sink!
The pigs prefer free stuff to actual guinea pig toys. They love to hide under packing paper. A DIY guinea pig house made from a cardboard box is a favorite hidey. They are not interested in chew toys.
THEIR DIET
Their favorite hay is Oxbow timothy hay. We get 50 pound boxes from Chewy. They also enjoy hay from Small Pet Select, KMS Hayloft, and Standlee. But they get most excited about fresh grass. They gobble up Sherwood Pet Health guinea pig pellets.
They eat nearly any vegetable. The only reject was zucchini. Their favorites are dandelion leaves, fennel, cilantro, parsley, banana leaves, kale, collard greens, kohlrabi, carrot tops and roots, beets, bell peppers, corn with the husk, cucumbers, and pumpkin. They go wild for homemade wheatgrass sprouts.

My guniea pig and I listened to this on loop today intill she passed away she was pretty old and lost her cage mate somewhat recently, thank you for helping me bring comfort to her at her last moments. 💞❤️🩹

Oh, it's a guinea pig opera! Played it for my kitties and they looked at the tablet like it had been possessed. Guess they are more fans of old rock n roll with some folk music thrown in here and there.

Relatable
This simultaneously makes me sad as i miss my guinea pigs (RIP) but also happy to remember how they sounded and hear other little piggies being so obviously happy.
My little old Daisy Belle is the last surviving piggie I have. When I play this for her, she gives me a small tiny popcorn move. It also helps to encourage her to eat when she hears other piggies in the room. She's a good eater but when she hears this, she eats as though she's 1 year old again. Ms Daisy Belle says "Weeeeee Weeeeee Weeeee Weeeee!" (THANK YOU VERY MUCH!)
I read that in Switzerland it is illegal to own only one guinea pig, because they get lonely. If you aren't willing to get a companion for her, then you should surrender her to a rescue organization where they can foster her with another guinea pig with her, to keep her company.
@@moondog7694 I understand what you are saying. Unfortunately you don't have information into what brought Daisy Belle and I to the point where we were at. She was the most loved and spoiled little cavy with having me as her Mama. She and I were very close buddies, I assure you 🐹💞

I think it's fine. I have a female. I found her in snow and it was -10. I have had to spend alot to get her healthy. Don't have $50 to buy a new one. They fight and I have more vet bills. So she's warm, fed, watered and loved😊
I have a five month old foster GP who lives alone because the Humane Society said the other non-bonded males are not able to be bonded because they are too aggressive. I felt bad that Farmer didn't have any older GP's to help him feel safe. This wonderful video helps him SOOOO much! He hears the sounds and totally gets excited, popcorns, eats more and gets super chatty. It has helped me gain his trust and help him feel more happy. THANK YOU AND your GP HERD!

I’m listening to this during online school so I can get used to the noise, I want to get guinea pigs, but I’m not 100% ready for them yet.
They don´t do that all the time, mostly when you open the fridge or crackle some plastic (sounds like opening salad). Good luck with school!

When you make noise that sounds like a plastic bag, get ready for squeaking.
My mom bought me guinea pigs in January, they still aren’t 100% used to me yet and I give them as much time as possible to get to know me, they also make this sound when their happy in general, if it sounds more dramatic or more like crying it means they don’t like it, you can google the sounds. Mine eat a lot idk about others. So I always bring a big sack of extra food, you can always use google, good luck! And they’re really cute! They love to eat my fingersXD luckily they don’t bite hard.

We have 4 indoor piggies. My 7 year old listens to this video every night to help her fall asleep. She says the sound makes her so relaxed and she is in her happy place.

I have a friend that has guinea pigs she takes as therapy animals for the mentally ill. She holds these little educational classes on them and allows them to be pet and held. It's the cutest thing really

My guinea is so quiet he barely squeaks,I played this for him hoping for some excitement/vocalization but didn't get much he is perfectly healthy just very calm and quiet he loves to be held and petted
So is mine but I just got him he’s very scared I think because someone adopted his brother right before I decided to adopt him, don’t like being held he’s scared but loves pets I was hoping this video might bring him out of his shell but he might just be upset cuz his brother is gone and a new environment

Man, I remember me and my sister used to have pet guinea pigs as kids.
We must've taken care of at least 4 pigs in our life.
Hearing their noises, seeing them behave like guinea pigs do, brings back so many memories.
Something we'd do in the warmer seasons, is have a cage out in our back yard, lay out plenty of shade, water, and protection from animals, and let them enjoy the outdoors and grass many times.
That always made me happy seeing them enjoy the luxury of fresh grass and outdoors.

Just adopted today a single baby female from the humane society....she's so scared. There are no rescues near me...closes one 182 miles away, so I'm going to Petco tomorrow to get her a female friend. I know ....but that little girl at Petco needs someone too.

After a one week battle against little flies who came from a plant I decided to totally spray my apartment. I started with the living room (which is the room where the piggies are) and after moving all their stuff in the kitchen and just leaving th "skeleton" of the cage I moved the potatoes in the kitchen, sprayed the living room and now I am waiting for 30 minutes with them. They are not used to free roaming yet and despite the houses, plushies and food I spread on the floor they stayed totally afraid in a corner.
So I checked on TH-cam "Guinea pig relaxing sound" and this video popped out. And it's amazingly effective ! They started to walk like normal in the kitchen and eat while making "bleep, bleep" noises.
Christmas so early this year?😄 One full hour of piggies... 😍 Thx!

i just got a guinea pig, her name is pig btw. and she is very nervous and usually doesn’t drink or eat a lot yet. especially since she is alone. this had really helped me. this is my first time letting her listen to the sounds and automatically she is eating. this is amazing.

I put this video on and mine heard the noises and got SO excited!!! They thought they had company I guess. Started singing and popcorn dancing.
This brought back a lot of memories being in college and calling home. My folks had a speaker phone. Every time it rang Squeaky would start wheeking as she thought her mom was calling. I have a cat so no piggy. The gurgling sound they make could be a sign of being in heat. Squeaky was a good diet aide. If the refrigerator was opened she'd go off. No late night snacking.

Guinea pigs are SOOo cute. Nothing you can do to make them ugly, not even a hairless one! They are just so cute I could go on about it forever
