  • I recorded my neighbor's kid awhile back, since everyone I know has seen, "The Sixth Sense", I thought it would interesting to see his reaction to the twist ending. He's 10 years old, so this was awesome to film his reaction since he had never heard of the film before. It's on Netflix right now, so check it out. :)

      To see this in the cinema must have been something special. I was 9 in 99 but my mum saw it and loved it so she rented it out the year after and we watched it together. Such a great film and my 10 year old brain was blown away

    My aunt saw this movie on cinema and my mother asked her politely how the movie was?
    My aunt said this: "Its just some story about a guy who turned out to be a ghost during the whole movie. Nothing speciall about it!"
    My family learned the hard way never talk to my aunt about movies ever again!

    Such a great and honest reaction. This is one of my favourite films, and the one that got me interested in writing. The ending always gets me choked up and it's cool to see that it's still just as effective 20 years later. It's a testament to Shyamalan's writing that hardly anybody saw that twist coming and it still makes perfect logical sense within the world the movie inhabits. It makes repeat viewings even more rewarding.

      Ehh, it's only PG-13 in the states, M in Australia, it's not really that bad for a 10 year old kid, and I'm saying that as someone who actually cares about what young kids should and shouldn't watch/play.

    • @lalaland2107
      @lalaland2107 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some things kids will understand. I watched this movie for the first time at 10 years old and I understood most of it. I was scared at some times, but in the end I was overwhelmed with happiness and calm. I was taken aback by the twist, and I cried a lot.

  • @henrybockmon9398

    LOL! How many times did they practice this before they got the "right" reaction? Not to mention it's weird to just sit there and record the emotional reaction of a child to a movie.

    • @thezec
      @thezec 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It doesn’t seem all that fake. The generic TH-cam reaction is some idiot saying “oh my god” over and over again as if they’re adding anything.
      This seems enough for him to be shocked by the twist but still a normal subtlety.
      If this kid is acting he might just be the next Haley Joel Osment.

      @@BooneErica This. Also, all kids are different and parents tend to know what they can deal with. For example, my oldest daughter has always been allowed to watch horror movies (she always understood what was on the screen wasn’t real), while another of my kids has never seen anything remotely spooky because in HER case, I know she’d be easily frightened.

    • @StoryMing
      @StoryMing 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BooneErica - violence may be debatable, depending on how we're defining it (the ghost we first hear in the closet wasn't exactly gentle, and neither for that matter was Vincent). Malcolm does say "the S-- word" at one point, which Cole calls him on. But however you want to count either of those two, there is most definitely gore.
