At first i'm kinda worried for Mia causes this (forced) short haircut might be make her less confident. But now, not any more (she's still good as always).
The ranking is based on my observation on them on dance practice, the showcase, the studio choom and the weekly idol fancams. Also, I apologize for the long wait. I just started on my internship and I have dance practice everyday, and doesn't get home until 11 pm - meaning I barely had the time to look at the members carefully. Also E:U and Aisha were the hardest for me to rank, so I couldn't release the video sooner. That's my "excuse". Anyways... How do you feel about the subjective ranking? Is this better than the scoring system? Drop down a comment to let me know on whether I should continue with it or not. These were my thought when placing them: Onda for me didn't shine as much as the others. Since this is subjective, my personal preference would be to put her either last. But if we just talk about her movements in general, it's pretty good. Since she did better on stage and on the weekly idol fancam, I thought I shouldn't put her low. Aisha: she placed 2nd at the beginning. But I did consider ranking her last since she executed differently on every fancam. It made it hard for me know where I should really put her. When it comes to stiff torso, I tend to be pretty strict. Aishas movement in some of the fancams were a bit questionable for me. But compared to the members ranked lower than her, she had other qualities that helped her earn this ranking. Better power projection, locks and extension. Sihyeon: I did consider to rank her 4th.
Personally, I feel like apart from Mia, Yiren was the strongest dancer this comeback. I feel like her taking 2022 off gave her time to practice dancing and she now is on the same level as Mia & Onda personally. She's just so fluid and powerful and non-stiff. My current ranking: 1. Mia 2. Yiren/Onda 4. E:U 5. Aisha 6. Sihyeon
Thought Yiren would be higher since she was highlighted a lot, on the contrary Onda and Eu were less highlighted than i expected. Mia did great as usual and Aisha killed it this era (body control is 🔥 considering her height). Thank you for the analysis :)
that's understandable. Getting highlight a lot doesn't necessarily means they did the whole choreography the best. She got highlighted the most for a certain part. But Yiren was great :) It's a subjective ranking after all
Many people telling eu was very stiff and inconsistent lmao its just me that i cant see any stuffness in eu these time infact she was pretty fluid + she was one of the member who was consistent in all fancams and seeing yiren and aisha fancams honestly i expected many thing from yiren these time although her locks were good in dance practice but seeing her in weekly idol + choom fancams her locks were kinda weak so i don't think yiren will go above E:U
My original ranking were: 3. E:U 4. Sihyeon 5. Aisha 6. Yiren. I think E:U should be higher on my list honestly, but I find it hard to place all of them. Aisha went all over the place, but I think I probably should've placed her lower. But knowing they are showed different execution, I couldn't make up my mind.
Thank you for the upload! Don't worry too much if an analysis takes 2 weeks, I would rather you take your time then rush something that you might end up not liking. As for my own subjective ranking for Slay, personally I found that Aisha's stage presence helps mask her awkward movements, so in my mind the rank is: 5. Sihyeon 4. Aisha/Yiren 3. E:U 2. Onda 1. Mia
That's fair. I ended up putting Aisha last because of how inconsistent her moves were in all fancams, but I had to make a choice at the end :) And thank you for your comment. Really appreaciates it🤍
2:59 I disagree with aisha leg shifts . She was kinda struggling to shift her weight into legs look closely she shortcutted some leg movement (compare her to mia ) she suddenly shifted her weight into her right leg without completing the movement , at 3:24 i will also give these point to E:U she was also groovy , E:U at 0:29 kinda fluid torso
Well I do like the choreography! If I was gonna make a video about it, I don't think I would include a ranking since it usually takes longer time. But I haven't made up my mind. I will either do it or not
I respect your and everyone’s opinion but I do think Aisha is overrated in terma of dancing.Maybe it’s because of height but nothing particular stands out for me.Her dancing seems not so clean.I do think she is the 5th best dancer open style wise.( No hate to her.She is my bae ❤)
Haven't watched you in a long time but you could do a dance analysis of group covers of other group songs too! It would be nice to see if you can do even if it is occasionally done.
@@NABIINLOVE Positions don't mean everything. In Twice, Mina Nayeon and Tzuyu are in the dance line, despite Jihyo and Sana being better dancers than those three.

short answer, yes There's not that much of an explanation. I would say Jihyo has trained and trained for a really long time to get where she is right now. Minas movements are somehow restricted in more powerful and energetic (or in general just open style) choreos. She is trained in ballet, and we all know ballet and open style choreography are opposite poles. The habits she's learned in ballet limits her from adapting the moves in i.e. hip hop choreography. Jihyo doesn't face the same issue/habit like Mina and therefore she can handle some choreography better than her. Instead of explaining why Jihyo is better, I rather focused on why Minas movements are restricted. I'll probably update the comment later on.
@@psychorious Jihyo really does scream “I trained for 10 years and you can easily see that”. But yeah I once read somewhere she was supposed to be the main dancer, lead vocalist of 6mix so I’m not surprised
