Peter knows and interprets markets better than anyone I have ever followed....and I have been following Peter and Brad for 13-14 years...trading/being actively involved for more than 35 years. Harder than you think! Lot of competition for eyeballs out there and unfortunately I don't cater to the largest demographic which is the youth which is way more interested in aspirational, materialistic, get rich with zero effort type of content.
As always, thanks Peter for your thoughts and commentary. The ADBE and MSTR do look interesting. TSLA had high IV when I was full time trading. I do not actively daytrade now (like I use to a few years back/Covid and many years beyond) but I still do part time strategies based on your principals (including some training with MProfile via JD) when I see the Opportunities. Great stuff and very intuitive. Very beneficial to my retirement acct's..

Of course the cash open price matters, but all of the liquidity happens at the cash close. So if we gap down a huge amount, it absolutely does matter. On the Wednesday gap down, we had a relatively small range after the open. Why do you think that is? C'mon.
yes, but the point is what are you going to do with that if you didn't act the day before. You are making my point for me with your (correct) assessment of Wednesday range.
@@therealshadowtrader thanks for the reply Peter. Even if I didn't do anything the day before, many people did, and it is their coattails I may want to ride. One thing I do with that is I use it to estimate the likely range for the cash session. If we open down 2% and the average true range is less than 2%, I will still be interested in possible further downside but we are stretched and I'm more open to a reversal if we don't see continuation to the downside. I suspect we agree on this in principle, I may have taken your comment out of context.

Is the decline in NQ "orderly" because its part of a rotation, rather than a general sell-off?
The tone changed in tech, but for the broader, more important part of the market this is just a light volume profit taking pullback. XLF, IWM, DIA, XLI and IYT. I like it when we see 73% of the market bullish rather than just 27% (SPY and QQQ). Increases my chances of hitting a bullish stock while being blind folded. Straight statistics and probabilities.
I think ur right......I hope I was able to convey that in the video. The tone has changed but there is no sort of "nowhere to hide" type selling on fast tempo and big emotion. Minor pullbacks as you said in a lot of non tech sectors. That bodes well, I think, for further rally later in year.
@@therealshadowtrader If you watch the TLT and HYG you can see that gov't QE stopped but Corporate QE never ended and this provides liquidity for stock buybacks, which is why we have been having record stock buybacks. Especially since the Oct 2022 bottom.

It's kind of silly that Microsoft is weighted five times more than Apple in XLK, while they are weighted pretty equally in both NDX and SPX.

July statistically and cyclical election year it is the strongest month
