Was the "Push back" video from an American? As "Push Back" has been a kind of newish American slang in terms of having a discussion. And it essentially means either "I respect and understand your opinion, but let me 'push back' a little bit on why I disagree." Or, "I agree with what you're saying, but let me play Devil's Advocate and 'push back' why others might think you're wrong." So that is probably the confusion on why you can't tell if its a diss or not by the video. As the slang is not meant to mean a verbal version of someone shoving someone back in a fight. It's actually meant to mean "respectful disagreement." It's used all the time on political discussion shows here, recently.
But if you don't hear it in the context of the sentence or know the slang, it's really easy to misconstrue. Especially if it's being used in shorthand on a video title. I would totally read it like a verbal version of being pushed back in a confrotational way in a fight if I didn't know the slang of it and saw it in a video title.
So if he was, it sounds like he wasn't try to diss you or disrespect you, but just VR on why he doesn't agree. But I haven't watched the video. I'm just going on what you said.
