I lost my faith years ago. I’ve been an atheist for a long time now, but for some reason I keep being brought to these videos. I’ve watched so many since finding this podcast last week. It’s made me dust off the Bible and read scriptures and even subscribe to this channel. This podcast, these messages, are pulling me back and as much as I love it, it scares me. I remember the day I lost faith. I read the book of Job to feel His love again but I felt so lost and sad instead. It was a horrible day. I’m terrified to feel that again, but I want to be open to also feel His presence again. Anyway, thank you for sharing these words and stories. If I gain nothing else, I truly appreciate the love and acceptance you all graciously give everyone each day.

I grew up being judged and talked about by people in churches in Louisiana because I was in extreme pain and depression and I did drugs and a lot of drinking to kill my pain. I`m not good enough for Jesus, apparently. The church hates sinners. You know it, and so do I. I love Phil and Si and all of them and wish I could bring my guitar and speakers and play a concert for them. But I`m too evil. So there ya go...

Our pastor loves to do funerals for that very reason too! What a blessing to the funeral goers. A perfect opportunity where they may never listen otherwise.

BTW, I knew those boys in ZZ Top because I worked at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. where they recorded most of their albums. Billy and I sat on the tailgate of my pickup, in the parking lot of a black nightclub in West Memphis, AR. They were having a "Memorial Jam" for my friend Albert King! He couldn't go in and jam with Joe Walsh and the others who were there because of his management agreement at the time. I said, "Go on in Billy, he won't know!" His reply to me was, "He'll find out." It was sad to me because I had written 9 songs for Albert and he recorded each of them. I loved that man, (Albert) but Billy became a millionaire because of his manager but he also missed a great deal of life at that time. God Bless Y'all!!!

Our holiness is a person. We'll never be holy without Jesus Christ, he is our holiness. Can't be good enough, follow enough laws and it certainly doesn't depend on what you eat.
Growing up as a kid , squirrel dumplings was a great meal. If we had company, depending who is was, when we fought over who got the heads to get the brain 😂😂😂. God provided us with great hunting and fishing.🙏🙏
My dad always said don’t bother them and they won’t bother you. A wasp hit me coming out of the hen house and talking about mad,I went and got the wd40 and lighter and lit them wasps up and the chickens were eatin them as fast as they were dropping some still on fire.
When I was a kid I was cutting through a neighbor's yard in Washington Indiana. I came upon a group of yellow jackets. I got stung on the top of the head and it HURT!!!!
It's funny to hear you talk about them yellow jackets in the ground. It remind me one time when the old man laid his tree stand down and leaned it up against this tree to catch his breath. And out of that little hole came several hundred wasp. My dad almost left his tree stand there and said they could have it.
Phil is correct! I mowed over a yellow jacket nest and was swarmed!! My husband came running and pulled em from my shorts and shirt. No beard here!!! Thanked God I was not allergic to them. I ended up with 16 stings on my legs. Wheweeee! Quite an honor to speak at Dusty Hill's funeral. Very fitting indeed.
I remember once when the preacher was told by someone that no one should use the word “gosh” because it was just a substitute for God. He asked them if they prayed to their Gosh in heaven!😂🤣
