I mean with all the elevation gain and loss eventually you have to hit cruise control (AKA the Becker pace) 🤙
I probably need to incorporate the Becker pace into my hikes more often though because my friends complain that my pace is too fast especially on flat terrain. Maybe I should ask Dan to give me some pointers on being cooler to my people.

This was great. Your hiking videos are some of the best on the web. Don't take this the wrong way, other videos have higher production value- drones, multiple cameras and angles, slick editing/gfx, but your videos have great pacing, humor and are just the right length. This is what elevates your content. Too many hiking videos are way too long. Yours are just about right.
My son and I have done the Pemi loop in two sections. Need to get back there and do the whole loop in one trip. Great trail...favorite on the east coast.
Thank you Wayne! I agree that many backpacking videos are too long. With my trip videos, I've decided to make them all 10 mins long (unless it's a really long hike) and as fast paced as possible.

I hiked the Bondcliff trail years ago. Most breathtaking views in the White Mountains (well, all the views are awesome). Got giardia at camp 13 on the Pemi Wilderness Trail (or somewhere on that trip). Bought a water filter (in the late 1980s), use one faithfully, and haven't had those symptoms on trail since.
Watched your gear video. Am buying a ULA CDT to replace my Granite Gear Virga. I've heard good things about the durability, and I've been carrying frameless packs since 2004, so my first task is to figure out how to secure my Go-Guitar Grande to the new pack. It's theft-resistant orange - ugly but practical during hunting season. Hike on! Stay funny! 😁

Bond cliff is great.
Oh and zeacliff overlook is one of the best stealth spots in the whites. East facing view of the presidential ridge. Carry water from either side you approach. Clear day one of the best sunrises anywhere.
Oh and there’s a crack in the cliff that’s perfect to have a little fire too.

Today's Saturday Night Live episodes don't compare (IMO) with the original episodes from the 70's and 80's. But my point is this, anyone can do a boring ass gear review. Speaking for myself, I don't need Dixie, Darwin or Bigfoot to suggest what backpack or tent I should use or which rain jacket I should buy. Not to knock them, I think they each have done a great service to the backpacking community. You have intentionally, or unintentionally stumbled upon a presentation of backpacking ideas and concepts that sets you apart from others and makes you interesting and different. Over the past several months your subscriber base has more than doubled. You are on to something special and I hope you continue to pursue it.
