Iirc correctly the grey Escort at 6:33 and the second grey one at 6:51 are something like 500bhp and 800bhp respectively, the second one is powered by a Honda S2000 lump 😳😍

Last Sunday I was driving home to norwich on the A11 and a mk2 escort 1.6 ghia came past me like I was going backwards. I drive a 2 litre 170 horse power passat and although I wasn't in any hurry I was doing a perfectly legal 70 mph ( plus interest lol) this thing just disappeared. I had a 1600 ghia nearly 40 years ago and it was reasonably quick but this thing just vanished over the horizon. I could tell by the sound that it was definitely a pinto engine but definitely not a stock 1600. It was black and passed me near Snetterton. If the guy driving it sees this, which he might being an escort enthusiast, I would love to know what's under the bonnet.

To be fair a car putting all its torque down to the tarmac efficiently is always boring, unless it's 1000bhp+. 150bhp in something lightweight with no driver aids is always more dramatic
They don't feel slow when your in the driver or passengers seats though. Trust me. 💯

I've never understood (and probably will never understand) why people actually need and want (let alone value) attention from strangers. I genuinely couldn't possibly care any less about what people who I don't know think about me or anything I drive or own (why tf anyone Does is completely beyond me it makes no sense to care about what people think of u Especially when those people are guys you don't know.. you've never met before...and will most likely never see again in your life, but people actually spend their hard earned money to go to places to show off what they've got in the hopes of admiration and respect from said strangers (can you see what I mean? If you can't then that just speaks volumes about your attention addiction I suppose). Sorry not sorry these things need to be said to many MANY people. I'm all for going to a car show/meet to have fun amongst like minded people but the moment they start fighting for attention and showing off like school boys I have to gtf outa there before I cringe (or laugh) myself to death.
