- Some classic and retro Fords (and a few other nice cars) leaving @Mk1Kieran's classic Ford show at Ryka's Café, Box Hill.
This was a truly mad morning, with too many cars to look at, and a very large proportion of them gave a nice show when leaving!

The classic ford boys never! disappoint. Change of venue definitely in order though, before something inevitably unfortunate happens.
I'll be 50 in November & still think this is the way old modified motors should be driven! Been through lots in my life so far, including a V8 efi mk1 escort estate I built in the '90s & a 250bhp XE Mini. Now on to rebuilding my Cossie Corsair (Now 520bhp on the 3rd map) & building an HC Viva which will most likely end up with a Honda S2000 motor... but please people, don't stand in front of motors doing burnouts... that's the quickest way to end up in hospital with multiple injuries.

I respect all these classic Fords, really cool cars, but sadly most of them are driven by this lot, it's like there trying to get the meet shut down, I like a acceleration leaving a car meet and I like a little drift leaving a car meet but when they start doing burnouts and stuff then I think that just ruins for others cause there the ones who get the meets shut down
Fifers15 that’s why Mk1kieran is shutting it down, he likes it when people show off, it’s getting to crowded and really dangerous

Jaden Bickers dont get me wrong its his car he owns it he does what he wants. But, 1. Instead if doing a quick peel out of the exit he continues to go up and down burning out on the road which in turn is the kind of activity that gets these good meets and shows shut down. 2. He is putting his and his childs life at risk which is his own problem but then he is putting all other people in the areas life at risk also which is quite selfish of you ask me. And 3. Its sacrilege on the old ford in my own personal opinion the way he is using it there will be 1 less sapphire cos on the road soon.
Obviously that’s his decision to do it to impress his kid, he didn’t crash at least so I don’t see the problem with him right now

I remember as a youngster seeing Ford Anglias as police cars in Victoria Australia and to see them still alive and looking great takes me back to those days.

Spot on 10 minutes, now I finally see if it was a burnout I was doing, indeed the wheel was spinning. Not bad for a bodge throttle cable only allowing me to have half throttle.

How can people with outstanding engineering and body work qualities behaveike so irresponsibly??? Did none of you see how many older people were in cars at what looked like a bus stop and other people on bicycles, they looked terrified as I would have been. I've loved and worked on cars all my working life, I'd be ashamed of being part of that gathering. Will it take a DEATH before they realize there are safer places to show off their skills. Where the.Hell were the police? Crazy absolutely crazy.
