Hey modelling gang! The moment I've all been waiting for... A welcome back to me and thank you for joining me again. It’s been a year and a half so far with the move but I’m getting back to the new workbench over the winter period and have plenty of models in the stash including some new releases from Kinetic and a HUGE 1/32 Mosquito from HKM 🤤. So welcome back and I hope you enjoy the video. The Inner Nerd
Looking forward to the Mossie build. You should check out the new 1/48 corsairs from Magic Factory, I'm working on one now and I'd love to see you build one up
It's funny, way back in high school I was considered a 'jock', because I raced motocross at the time. But my indoor passion was reading scifi/fantasy, and my beloved military models. Local hobby shop at the time was owned by Vietnam veterans, kits were wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Long before internet, you could go in, touch stuff, talk to people, and go home with a kit. My fellow partner in crime was an aircraft nut, I liked vehicles. After graduation he was a marine A6 mechanic, I went the other green on a Lance crew. Always had an unhealthy addiction to Airfix.....
I really like that you don't overdo the weathering, so many projects out there look fit for the scrap yard because the weathering gets too extreme, yours looks very convincing. Really good video too
Not an armor girl so I'll never actually use it, but using extra thin to soften the plastic and then stippling it is absolutely GENIUS and it would literally never have occurred to me.
Ah Mr. Nerd, we’ve been expecting you! Great to have you back and what a terrific video. It’s packed with information and I’m going to have to watch it at least twice to take it all in. Keep up the good work.
Greetings Nerd, welcome back, that was a excellent video tutorial, the Panther looked fantastic, have a great life in Sweden, bedt regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👌👍👌👍👌👍
I'm very glad your back! Ive been thinking of getting back into armor and take a break from airplanes but, these kits cost so much . Plus. Individual track links and tiny photoetch parts are why i quit building armor years ago. Maybe i should do what you did and stick with the old tamiya kits.
Thank you! I find armour is a nice break from aircraft which can be restrictive in some ways. Also building out of the box I find a nice rest to the superfine detailing and research needed to scratch build kits. These old Tamiya kits are always a good option in my opinion to bring some simple fun back to the hobby. Best of luck and thanks for watching :)
Thank you, yes the winter is definately coming here... Lucky I'm not too much further north than I was in the UK so I'm used to the light and weather here already haha. Thanks for watching :)
Thank you. Yes it was the hardest thing we've ever had to do, both logistically and emotionally, but after 6 months life is slowly turning to normal thankfully. Hope your move goes well too and thanks for watching :)
I am new to the hobbey but dont know what modell to buy first. I have a revell big boy and a bf-109 (the bf-109 is still under Construction) but it has to be a tank
Hello and welcome. I've heard the revell 109 is a tricky one so might not be the best choice to start with. I'd choose something cheap, small and simple to test out your skills first. Tamiya is always a safe bet in my opinion. I have a video on the Matilda tank which I thought was perfect for a beginner. Hope this helps, good luck and thanks for watching:)
@@TheInnerNerd it was a battle pack with a Spitfire to, okay thanks alot! I subed to so i dont miss out, my uncle builds models and sorry but i have to say it…..i think they are better than urs accually, but thanks alot, u build models like a PRO tho
У меня уже сделано 16 танков, сейчас делаю ,,тигр в,, У нас нету столько материалов, как у вас( Я рисую только кисточками 😊 Ваши работы очень качественные 100%

Nice work on the Panther. Think you should have painted the rubber on the tires. Showing some through all the earth pigments would add a little more.
