I could listen to this song every day for the rest of my life, and it would still sound fresh, new and exciting each and every time. Back from a time when performers had something called talent.
Look at the presentation of the dance moves what happened to Black people today and the music it's lost everything Have to go back to times like this when Black people were connected to the universe with fros and spirit
WOW,&WOW! DID WE HAVE THE ABSOLUTE BEST MUSIC/SONGS OR WHAT???!!!! I THINK THIS CAME OUT IN 1973,74. OH MY."A TEST PAPER WITH NOTHING BUT MY MY NAME ON IT"! LOVE IT. I CAN'T SAY THAT I RECALL WHAT THE GROUP LOOKED LIKE THOUGH. I WONDER IT THEY'RE RELATED. M.REDDING😊
THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL THE EARLIER YEARS MUSIC WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST, THE LIL YOUNGER GUY OF THIS GROUP CAN SING, I'M STILL LISTENING TO THIS MASTER PIECE IN 2024 ❤❤
THEY TOLD THE NATION AND THE WORLD NOW THIS IS A JAM WHAT A FEELING IT BRINGS AND THE MEMORIES ARE PRECIOUS THOES WERE THE DAYS GOD BLESS PEACE B WITH YOU PEOPLE
Let me tell you something they don't make songs like this anymore. Growing up listening to this music you can't even explain it. The so-called artist today couldn't shine a candle to those back then who put out real music
This was one of my favorite jams as a preteen in the early 70's, along with "Wish that I could talk to you" by The Silvers and "I'm gonna prove it" by the Soft Tones. Simply fantastic music in those days and thanks to TH-cam, I can reminiscence.
BEAUTIFUL, JUST BEAUTIFUL, BLACK LOVE, SLOW DANCING with each other, not thinking about what gangs we were in, non of that, just BLACK LOVE, and BEAUTIFUL BLACK LYRICS from our HEARTS! A LOVE JONES!
man boost the volume up cuz..sincerely wish there was a good clear loud copy of this I know it's older but still that show was filmed clear and loud..it's somewhere..I'm onit..
Like last Friday in class when Mr. Russell was giving us the test, I was sitting up staring at you and day dreaming, I know I failed, a test paper with nothing but my name on it
I still remember this song when it first came out it's a very beautiful song I used to play it a lot for my GF..she cried every time I used to sing to her.. great memories..yes I'm old school till the end of time..
Don Cornelius early shows gave every group or artist a chance to perform in the 70's my favorite era, the 70's was about Heaven and hell parties, Ruffus Thomas Concerts, teen post, Cressey Park , dances in Compton Ca Watts Festivals. Your favorite artist lived right in your neighborhood, Marvick flats nightclub , talent contest, actually dreams that came true, Marla Gibbs of the Jefferson show club in Los Angeles called Memory lane, The Hunted House in Hollywood own ran by Charles Wright of the 103rd Street band started in Watts. How many remember when the Forum opened up in Inglewood CA. Neighborhood with the bro on the corner singing, drinking their short dog , your neighbors were all entrepreneurs, record shops , run up the street to buy the latest songs in vinyl records, real Djs dry cleaners that took pride in their work . School you know we actually checked out musical instruments from our elementary school to take home and summer school was actually fun it was an option than crafts, archery, painting, you could go and stop anytime, we use to be able to go home for lunch, bring sack lunch or cafeteria fun. Walking distance our school was actually in a roll elementary, Jr's high & high school, how many remember Centennial high, or Compton high? Best football 🏈 best dressed we were always in competition in a fun way because we knew each one , the tar babies Compton high & the Appaches Centennial high 60 -70s couldn't get any better and it hasn't. Oh except for the roaring 20s I wasn't there personally be it seem similar to the 70's
Now that's a song!! Decades later and it still moves you. And ladies he can get it!! Said all the right words and as for me I love a chocolate brother. Here's to music and how it used to be. And never will be again because they just don't make them like this anymore 😢SMH.
