  • Hi! I'm Alisa, an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Australia.
Have you ever tried to refill your Stampin' Blends? If you haven't, I'm here to say DON'T DO IT!! Ink refills are Water Based, Blends are Alcohol Based - they are not compatible.
If you'd like to join the Blends and Beyond Group, you can find it here - / stampinblendsandbeyond

Alisa, in most cases it's just the alcohol that has evaporated leaving the ink pigment behind, try just adding a few drops of the alcohol to reconstitute the dry pigment. You do need to let it sit about 24 hours for it to absorb back up into the nibs but I've had some success, some failures 50/50. If it's dry it's worth trying otherwise you are tossing them anyway. Also I use the denatured ethanol alcohol not isopropyl. I was told years ago that good alcohol markers use ethanol alcohol, isopropyl is in markers like sharpie, which doesn't blend well.you can really only do it once because the pigment does get used up. I put tape on the ones I do it with

Thanks Alisa for doing the testing to show that we cannot refill our Blends! It was a messy job, but someone had to do it. LOL The new ones are not that expensive.....just do it!

Alisa, how do you use the alcohol blending solution? Thanks for the refill info.

I don't use it very often. I pop a few drops in the barrel just to keep the marker going until a new one arrives in the mail. It will lighten the marker tho.

@@AlisaTilsner thank you. Can you add it to the pointed end? I’ve never been able to return a brush tip, I always have to replace it with a new one
