She’s using a kind of vocal fry technique, there’s clips of her talking about how it was fairly similar to a vocal warmup she does and some sounds she’s made before and it made it much easier for her practicing
I have been obsessed with this song. From the opening with the hemeola to her beautiful vocals to the brutal vocals. I have listened to this song like 15 times in the last 3 days.
This was the cover that launched Froot, but today she just released "The Summoning", a cover of the Sleep Token song. I've got a feeling that's going to pop off as well. As for the reaction itself, I appreciate the in-depth dissection based on the merits of what's presented, rather than preconceived notions or expectations.
Bro, if you like this, you need to check out her cover of 115 with ObKatieKat. It's absolutely insane. She did the bulk of the vocals, while Katie did most(if not all) of the instrumental. It's a great display of both their skills as musicians.
I knew you would like this when I recommended it, but I didn’t expect you to give such great commentary alongside it. If you want some more Metal vtubers, you could see some of Futakuchi Mana songs and covers as well Zephyrianna’s covers, especially her Villain Vibes contest entry (Villain Vibes is a Mori Calliope and AmaLee original song, they held a contest for covers and Zephyrianna was the winner)
i dont keep up with vshojo, so i didn’t know about this song! what a rollercoaster, i wish i knew about it sooner! awesome reaction, i know i’m watching a lot of ur videos when i can recognise a chugging guitar before you mention it, lmao
Bro, if you're only invested in the song, watch the original. The entire point of these videos is the reaction, which often includes interjecting when you have something to say.
@@quartzninja Well, you are correct, the point of these videos is the reaction, but there were too many pauses for me to handle. I wanted to see the reaction on the song rather than listen to the opinion every 15 seconds. I'm not saying that I'm right about the reaction approach, it just wasn't what I was expecting from the video. I was expecting Scribble to watch through the song with short pauses to take in some of the details and only after then make up his own opinion.
@@quartzninja This is more of a "break down" video, than a reaction video. Pausing to react is normal, but this is constant pausing to go over subtlties in the music composition and such, which is a bit much as a "reaction"

Ooh that's interesting! Thanks for the info!

froot had been practicing before this release on using her false vocal chords to do those screams at the end
I see! I really enjoyed her performance here!

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check these out! And thx for recommending this song too, it was a blast! I'm glad you liked my commentary!
The ticking sound reminds me of the Quake soundrack with similar ticking you can feel in the throat.
Love it.

@@ScribbleTheTalkingSketch they just today released a cover together, about an hour ago now
If you would like to react to an artist you might not have heard of before, I recommend X-RL7 with Overdose of Emotion
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check this out!
My guy, have you tried to pause less to keep the viewer more invested?
Or maybe, hear me out, check the video in full before making a lengthy review about it context.
